there is no applicant response to the EA letter dated 3rd December. The fact is that the EA has rejected VLS's attempt to slip through a refinery waste water proposal that does not meet the EA requirements. VLS will need to undertake more work. One can only assume that this is no straightforward task as thy would have done that in the first instance, so i suspect this is due to a lack of detailed engineering at this time.

If you look at the 16:33 post in context of the title, you'll see its about securing PP on Friday, not attaining PP in general. Clearly you're not studying hard enough.

Please also be careful with your direct attacks on posters (expat tw--t!?). I'll let that one slide for now as you've been so nice.

I never said PP would be rejected, which is what you infer. I said they wouldn't get PP when we all expected it to happen and that there are many issues to resolve.
Financing will remain the biggest issue for the foreseeable future.

BP are not involved. Its only a punt from Shell -that's pretty obvious. If they were serious, they'd have ploughed millions in by now, just as they do with companies that have the right attributes (developer experience). VLS just dont have such attributes yet, sadly.

Funding will be the biggest problem. Velocys can barely keep their head above the water as it is. Raising bank finance for a 600m pound first of type project will be almost impossible, assuming Velocys end up being the company that is managing this aspect.
Seeing as tho i was spot on with the Planning Permission forecast (which i think will be granted soon, albeit with a ton of conditions), my next prediction will be Q1 for the next raise/bankruptcy proceedings, whichever happens first.

Well if you think that's its a requirement to be invested to have balanced opinion, it might be worth evaluating your own investing methods. Investors a trying to ramp their own stock and have tunnel vision as to the reality of the business they are invested in. I am merely providing a reality check based on experience (and the scars) from a similar industry.
For what its worth, I was invested in VLS but got out after realising quite quickly that money will soon run out based on the current status. I got in too soon. Thankfully I sold on a rise and didnt lose out, but since then the stock has dropped 85%.

Lets see if we have PP in place by the end of today and I'll happily eat my hat if its issued. If not, I'll once again be right.

You can only claim 'rubbishing' when you have evidence to suggest this is a good investment at this time. As stated repeatedly over the last few weeks, PP will not be secured today (IMHO) due to reasons Ive identified. It will eventually be secured, but with a raft of conditions which can only be addressed with additional investment in the project.
I'm waiting for an entry point. Whether such a point will eventually appear, is another issue altogether. VLS are [probably 2 years away from any meaningful progress, but i'll continue to monitor and provide opinion and insight based on my experience in the waste technology sector..

Lets see if im right tmrw. 23 years of waste to energy developer experience could suggest i might have some idea on chances of success. However, will happily be proved wrong by COB tomorrow.

Spent the last hour studying the PP submission. Lots of unresolved issues, particularly around wastes and sewer discharge. On the assumption that the planning portal is up to date, and based on my own experience in the areas of planning applications, its looking highly unlikely that permission will be granted (in my opinion).

Not investing. They are part of IAG, which also owns BA. Willie just jumping on the bandwagon.

I dont mean the little minnows on here -I mean the people really in the know. Surely they'd be bagging up, just like they did the day before the announcement that BA and Shell were involved.....

Eveyone is missing the fundamental point. VLS have some technology which works. Sadly, this technology is one piece of a very large agglomeration of technologies, which have never been proven working together. You need a seasoned developer to ensure success, not a technology company turned developer. Its like betting on a company that has designed a really good spark plug and now wants to design and develop an engine to run it in. Stick with the spark plugs, and let someone who knows what they are doing, build the engine.

Sure, Im here to save everyone from imminent bankruptcy - just like APP, which was a previous UKGov supported waste to fuels project, with great technology and partners, but couldn't raise enough money to build small plant, nevrmind one that costs 600m.

because those in the know, know there isn't any good news coming. A company with a market cap of 7m, with ZERO developer experience, is looking to build plant costing 600m, that has never been done before.

They will get planning permission, but there's a risk it might not happen on Friday as there seems to be quite a few last minute issues coming up, according to the planning portal. Id give it a 70% chance of getting PP on Friday.

The project is not funded by any stretch. Id say a good 20m is needed to get them to the point of building it , then they'll need project capital to actually build it. Too big too soon imho.
