You’re delusional. Shell won’t fund this project. They are getting good PR for their £1m investment but it’ll be a swerve when Vls come asking for money to keep the lights on.

It’s now a very different stage in the comp process. We are not talking a few hundred grand anymore. It’s becoming very clear that construction funding stage is light years away for VLS so using public funds at this stage for Vls would be totally inappropriate. The Kew’s of this world are planning small scale facilities which are much more realistic in terms of first of type projects and timescales.

Kew and others have working and demonstrable processes. VlS has a paper process, that they’ve never tested.
Perhaps the penny has dropped at the DFT and they are focusing their efforts on companies that have actually put in the effort to demonstrate their end to end process?

The only positive thing about this stock is intent of the end goal. Unfortunately, the chances of them actually getting there imho, are less than 10%. I’ve seen this over and over again, and it’s the same outcome.
Other players in this space (some mentioned in this thread), are much better equipped to succeed, with years of development experience, access to hundreds of millions in funding, corporate board partners, stable management and most importantly, clear evidence of the (full and complete) technical process being demonstrated at smaller scale.
Before VLS start looking at trying to build at £600m plant, they need to look at the competition and take notes. VLS currently have the UK market to themselves, but this might not last and it’ll all of a sudden get much much harder if someone like Enerkem et al rock up.

Correct that the gasification partner is TRI. The differentiator is that Fulcrum chose TRI years ago and have been working with them for such time. VlS chose TRI relatively recently, following the demise of APP. Also a point worth noting is that VLS have not produced jet fuel from MSW, using TRI, whereas Fulcrum has. This will be one of the issues that will haunt VLS when it comes to financing a project.

Another issue with drainage. Add this to the effluent management and there’s still a lot of work to do (that should have been done in the first place). Given the funding squeeze, Vls can’t afford this ‘discoveries’ at such a crucial time.
Expect another few weeks before PP is considered again.

Vls do not have CCUS technology and the UK plant does not have any agreement with a CCUS project. This is factual and the info is in the public domain.

Carbon capture (and storage) is not a VlS technology/offering. They’d need to partner with someone developing such a tech here in the UK.
Again, please read and understand the facts before attempting to shoot me down. I’ll just keep dodging your fire with a true based agility.

Vls does not have any Carbon Capture technology. They have an arrangement with Oxy in the US, but nothing here in the UK.

If you did your research, you’ll have noted that the NE objection/rejection, aligns with the EA position regarding effluent. So if you are thinking that VLS can simply turn a blind eye to NE, they still have to appease the EA.
The lack of data regarding effluent, suggests incomplete engineering. It’s examples such as this that unfortunately, do not reflect too well on VLS. However it’s up to the investors to undertake their own diligence and come you their own opinions.

If you read my post, you’ll see I’m referring to the Council. I’m also not ‘suggesting’ back door tactics by VLS. I’m inferring that such back door tactics should not be supported by VLS, either directly or indirectly.
