Yet another company going 'all public' with amazing plans but the reality is, nothing is really confirmed. This is just like VLS - Showboating, but a whisker away from bankruptcy.

PR mainly. I believe they have put a token amount in the project along with BA.
Shell are only in with us because BP are in with Fulchrum. Thats pretty obvious.

just read the report. Nothing new to what was already heard or has been figured out. I suspect its all down to BA and Shell to dig deep and cut the cheques. BA hasnt had a good quarter due to high fuel prices and Shell seem to investing (decent sums) in every other low carbon fuel/chemical project apart from ours. In my opinion, VLS need to onboard a blue chip at the corporate level. This will provide some well needed credibility. Look what their US rivals Fulchrum have done. They have BP invested at the corporate level - having BP in the room when they go out to market must help them tremendously. It does question why Fulchrum are not present here in the UK however, especically as VLS are stating how well the market is suited to sustainable jet fuel and policy.

but theres nothing new to report - thats the issue I have. they are stuck in this rut, waiting for money to come in the door. Im sure the F4C will help a bit, but those funds wont last long. We need that big investor whos prepared to lose it all if it goes wrong - in the current climate, im not sure if they exist. My other concern is Velocys' complete lack of development experience. they are a technology provider, turned developer, trying to build a 400 million pound plant. A guy whose been making copper pipe all his life, couldn't just turn around one day and become an expert plumber.

well at least some cash to burn for a few more months. Positive words regarding the US and UK projects.
However, all focus needs to be put on that strategic investor. Without their deep pockets, nothing will happen and we'll all be going home by summer.

I agree totally. This is an amazing opportunity to raise the profile. As much as I want them to, I just don't think VLS can do it. If they cant get a serious backer on board who believes in the FT technology and VLS's ability to deliver a construction project on time and on budget (with no experience) then the only way is down.
It wont be long until another company comes wading in, with serious big-oil backers, serious money and the demonstrated experience to deliver a project.

Id just love to know what the help we are waiting for. It would be good to understand what the next steps are in descending order. We have 2 projects, both stalled due to a lack of funds. What is being done about it?

This is an MOU. Non legally binding and also conditional. There are many, many hurdles to overcome, including the raising of debt finance which will be tough. There are 10's of waste to energy plants in the UK, fully permitted and designed, but cannot raise the finance needed to execute and construct. This jump today is massively overdone IMHO

Anyone know when the results are due? Website says April, but clearly that didn't happen.

Some subtleties in this RNS. Note how they are now putting the UK project first, before Natchez. This could mean a shift in priority? In my opinion, the Natchez plant is looking more and more doubthful as the sheer scale of the plant (scale needed due to the fact that the woody biomass is being paid for) will be a difficult one to finance as a first of type. The UK plant is a smaller version, so might be the preferred 'commercial demo' as the waste comes in with some money attached to it.

My worry is that the ENVIA demo was incomplete - it was shut down before the end of the testing due to the cooling issue. Its debatable if what was completed prior to the shutdown could be considered as a full demonstration. Lets see what the banks think.

shame we don't have the same level of support as Enerkem. I suspect the long standing, stable Management has helped reassure investors. We fall down on this front. Lets hope Henrick and co. will give us at least year or 2..

but there's no money in the kitty unfortunately. Im waiting for the F4C money to arrive so we can all go out and buy new suits.
