I’m secretly (well not now, lol) hoping a large deal is being concluded and that’s why we’ve not heard news from any of our projects, with news overdue from both Finland and Kosovo. Kal PFS cutting it fine for Q2 as well.

I suppose the State Miner is tried and tested, is wholly Swedish, is seen to be more readily accountable perhaps, and there may be standard very decent compensation with the State Miner for the Sami, but that is me guessing. The Sami can also continue to bang on about how the State is doing them over.

Only my thoughts. The State has in fact done us over so far too, yes.

You are right John, it was me. The beef is between the Government and the Sami, but we are directly affected. In our favour, I of course mean if the original Government decision to grant the award to us is deemed the correct one by the Court.

Hi Sooz. Ideally LKAB would be subject to identical conditions, they should be from the Government, but yes, I see what Aug means, the Sami would prefer the State Miner as the known evil, let’s say. But the Court will decide, so if ruled in our favour then that’s that. Or it should be.

Yes, I think the Annual Report says BEM via SDRs is now 79% Spotlight/Swedish owned. I’ll check and post the info.

Hi Aug. I’m not sure you are right about the reliance on good faith. Based on all we know. Of course, I do appreciate your opinion on it, but to rely on good faith would be naive.

Hi Aug, thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I can see what you mean, but I would still point to the Company passing this via our legal team and it being satisfied that any conditions imposed are fair and manageable. Otherwise, after waiting over nine years for the grant of this concession, we would have surely objected to any, if not all of the conditions, should they have been wholly unacceptable or unreasonable asks. Our legal team did not suggest further action at the time, to query the conditions attached to the decision, so for that reason, I still don’t feel that the concession is loaded, although you may believe I’m missing the point, I don’t know. If the conditions are satisfactory in the eyes of our legal team, then whomever may be responsible for arbitrating is surely a secondary consideration, albeit something for our legal team to perhaps keep an eye on. Lol.

Hi SJ. I suppose we still have time left in Q2, but it’s amazing how last minute everything always seems to be. Notably the sp has eventually dropped since Kurt departed, after initially being stable. So we surely need Johan to be mindful that the sp is important, particularly if we need to raise funds again within a year.

Hey, perhaps we are in the process of doing a deal with either LKAB or H2GS, and if we aren’t, then maybe we should be considering it.

On the face of things, we are struggling. “Inflection point” news required!

Hi Aug. Yes, I’m not sure why you feel the concession award is loaded either. The Company has said that our legal team is satisfied with the conditions attached to the grant of the concession, therefore nothing unacceptable to take issue with. So I agree with Suzy about it. As far as the objection from the Sami goes, I’m not so certain as to what sway that will have going forward. Naturally I’m trusting it will be dispensed with by the Court, in the wider interest of all communities and Sweden.

Have to see. What I’m pondering more at the moment is why Johan can’t seem to bring us any new news. Finland PFS findings? Did we undertake a Spring drill in Kosovo or not? Commencement of Kal PFS? Q2 nearly over and still no news of that. I am pleased with Ulla though, with her seeking rail solutions for the Kal project. Good.

And so we wait.
