It's obviously most likely the head of ARSO resigned because he apparently gave personal assurances the IPPC permit was imminent. Regarding all this I find it absolutely astonishing that any Ministry anywhere in the world would take notice or respond to un-official emails, tweetys or whatever in the way the Solivian Ministry seems to have. I mean they more than likely don't even know who did them. Have they not heard of short positions with shares? Maybe not!

So whatever Mr Leben says the facts seem to be he has caused the IPPC permit not to be issued, indeed at the very very last minute we are told. So I ask myself what is Mr Leben's agenda? Just about anyone who has followed this sorry story for the last 5 years in Slovenia will have been stunned and shocked by Mr Leben's actions after all the previous delays and most will think there are dark powers at work with all this. To coin a phrase it stinks to high heaven IMHO.

1. They do not do a placing for now, just carry on as is hoping the well holds up volume for the next few months.
2. They do a say £1m placing to keep the Company ticking over for at least 6 months.
3. They do a bigger placing, say £2m to fund work on that frankly annoying well pg 11a and the more user friendly well pg10. This apparently wpould increase gas production but until done no-one will know by how much. Should mean well pg11a contributes at least.
But the long term development depends on the permits no matter what is done. Without the hydraulic stimulation permits the future would not look good. Thus Ascents future is in the hands of ARSO (with a new person at the top presumably) being overseen by Mr Leben. Mr Leben is key and frankly I don't trust him due to the timing of the intervention which has once again delayed the IPPC permit. Without his intervention it seems Ascent would have the permit, even if ARSO did not follow correct procdedures. I don't think Ascent could care less as long as they have the permit.

Hello. It's possible but IMHO unlikely. The gas sold is just covering all the bill/wages etc. at the moment, which is good for now. The gas volume is decreasing steadily so the bank balance will in time start to go backwards. Up to Colin and directors but I think at minimum there will be a placing of say £1m to give a cushion and show the market Ascent is funded for several months if need be. That is my opinion for what it is worth. I may be wrong. There are always possibilities. I suppose there is a chance that if Ascent get the ok vote to do a placing this Company they say are interested in a deal might decide to make an offer. You never know. Maybe Mr Leben will waive through the IPPC permit, although if that happens I'll fall off my seat, then pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming.

If Ascent get the votes at the meeting to do a placing I'm sure they will.
I hope no Co's with a nasty agenda have scooped up a chunk of shares when the price was low so they can help torpedo Ascent by not voting. Dark forces at work here I think most would agree. If Ascent don't get enough votes to do a placing then the sp will re-visit 0.3p and worse I'm afraid. I hope they make it. I really do. They may not.

to the Slovenian economy will never be known. However the enourmous amnount of bad press in Slovenia, the RNS';s by Ascent that are on record for World banks/finance houses to refer to when looking at possible investment must put it in the hundereds of millions over the next 10 years in my opinion.
Personally I don't trust Jure Leben as the intervention could hardly have come at a worse time for Ascent if it had been planned, which leads me to think exactly that.

We don't know do we. Why did the minister intervene at the last momment? Why not weeks ago? Why is the minister apparently complaining about emails from anywhere in the world, from anyone in the World thap proport to be from Ascent share holders (which he could not check)? What is all thast about? Why do they not only take notice of communications from official sources, like any normal Government? Maybe this is a ploy to delay things?? All very odd.
Let's see what he says........ assuming we get something!.

seems to hinge on what the minister decides. It's still highly suspicious if you ask me that he intervened at the last moment, when as far as I can tell the IPPC permit was about to be issued. That is what crashed the sp from 0.8 to 0.3p, before it recovered to 0.45/0.5p. Unfortunately there is still the very real prospect that this will drag on for weeks more, maybe even months which is exactly what some want. Let's see what the minister says............ officially.

Yes he did. Seems telling Colin the IPPC permit was about to be approved broke the rules?? That's my guess on that one. Unfortunately as far as I can tell Jure Leben seems to think emails from anyone from anywhere in the World who claim to be shareholders should be listened to which is unbelievabllly unprofessional and I believe un-workable. Any normal ministry would only communicate with a Company through official channels and simply reply to any other emails with a standard email informing them of the same. Any one with a short position knowing this could have deliberately annoyed him. It's madness if true. Maybe it's not true???

If that's true it is very unprofessional. Does Trump get any? Do all ministers in any Government always get some?
If you are in a high position in Government you will get nasty letters/emails/comments. Comes with the job. Maybe Jure is not the right person for his job?

Jure Leben does not want Ascent and it's Slovenian partners to develop the gas field.
He seems to be using the frustration the share holders and Ascent have with the five year delay against Ascent.
It seems Jure Leben and the ministry do not just communicate through official channels, but they will listen to anyone who emails them from anywhere in the entire World no matter if they are a share holder or not. This is an excellent way of ensuring you get rude emails from, for example, people who have shortred the share. Of course this way of carrying on will never work and is why a "normal" ministry would only communicate with people through official channels.
They seem to have an issue with the British Chamber of Commerce meeting the ARSO officials even though this was widely publicised. I think the private assurances Asent apparently got are why the director resigned. Maybe this was not proper.
That is my opinion for what it is worth. Jure Leben, by taking notice of apparently rude emails from......... well anywhere in the World, and from well........... anyone in the world is using this highly unusual and unworkable way of doing things to sink Ascent and their partners. Maybe he will want the permit applied for all over again.......... or worse?? We will see.

think he will be busy trying to convince fellow ministers what nasty people the British are, trying to "fast track" a permit (that has taken nearly 5 years and we still have not got.... bet he does not mention that). Will he portray it as British only (even though there are investors from all over the World, including Slovenia?) who are these nasty people trying to frack wells in his Country? If he tells them the truth he will be seen for what he is so I can't see that happening. What's the betting he is economical with the truth when explaining the situation to other ministers and their general public? I think he'll be spinning this to protect his job. If we are lucky a newspaper out there will tell the Slovenians the truth, but don't hold your breath.

the Slovenian business law system, confidence in the Slovenian political system (as far as investing goes), and confidence in generally investing one single Euro in Slovenia has been severley damaged by Ascents treatment by them. Due to the RNS's this is now known by every major investor in the World. Sad the Slovenian politicians have let them down.

Whatever the truth about why Jure Leben has stuck his oar in at the last minute he should resign his office. I don't know if he is corrupt, has been influenced by that NGO that was barred from objecting by the court, was unaware of what has happened in the last 5 years (i.e did not do his homework) or whatever. Fact is he did what he did and it was outrageous considering what has happened before. There is NO EXCUSE for his behaviour and the Slovenian Government should compensate Ascent and it's share holders for his actions. He must resign.

You have to draw the line somewhere. CH and the board have been waiting for about FIVE YEARS for the IPPC licence and during that time followed the law of Slovenia and believed what now appear to be total lies by representatives of the Slovenian Government. This action last week by Jure Leben will have made a lot of Ascent shareholders think he's corrupt as surely he must be aware his outrageous actions would go a long way to totally destroying Ascent Resources Plc, shareholder value and all the jobs at Ascent which are nearly all Slovenian. I feel sorry for the Slovenian workers who must now be thinking they will loose their jobs any day. Hopefully some of those will complain to their Government about Jure Lebens behaviour.
