Hello. I am pointing out that buys or sells on these sort of RNS's are assumed by a lot of people to have happened the day they are released and that is incorrect. He could have bought more, he could have sold some. They are mis-leading if you ask me. I'm sure Mr Asif knows this.
Sorry HeresHopin but holding these shares at the moment after the last RNS is extremely dangerous and anyone who has read the last RNS and still holds is taking a massive gamble. You are right. I think holders should sell @ 0.4p as 0.4p is better than 0.0p which in a few months could now happen.

holdings disclosures have I think 10 days for you to declare. So the 5,000,000 in the RNS today could have been today, but could also have been several days ago. Also any trades since have the same time window so more could have been bought or sold since. If he has not sold a load since he is a brave man.

It is to me absolute madness for an agency that deals with permitting to let anyone in the Wold email them. Obviously they can't even check if any person that does is even a share holder. Any normal Government agency would have a standard reply to anyone who is not and official representative. For example "Thank you for your email but we are only able to respond to emails from the individual Companies official representitives. If you have any queries please contact the Company directly.". Ohone calls same response. THIS IS BASIC STUFF.

Take your points there, but in the interests of transparency have you sold now Emerald Carrots - see your strong sell recommendation so I guess you may have done. If so, no problem, although it still seems a bit strange to try and trash your previous investment - possibly because you want to be proved right if you have sold? Interested in your views and what you are hoping happens now.

Yes I have sold all my share holding for now for what I think are extremely good reasons. You say trashing my previous investement! You did read the last RNS I take it!!! I wanted, and still want Ascent to either get bought out for 2.5p plus, or do a joint Venture with, I presume INA to develop the gas field. At the moment holding Ascent shares is just about as dangerous as it gets. Anyone who disagrees with that must be franky mad or has not read the last RNS. Ascent have said the can find the Company until the end of the year. But it's 1st November tomorrow. They have a Slovenian Government minister that seems to want to destroy the Company to boot. Then only one of the wells is producing and the other one is only producing after is is regularly "shut in". As I said holding these shares at the moment is I think the riskiest of any share I have ever had. What you do is up to you but they have already hit what 2.5p the other day. Now somehow recovered to 0.5p. Good luck all who are still holding. I fear you may loose the lot but ,hope you don't. One more thing. Ascent will need money from somewhere before the end of the year the Company has said that in an official RNS you crazy loit!! Is the money going to fall out of the sky or something?

most likely explanation for this last minute intervention was to cause Ascent and it's share holders the maximum possible damage. Whether someone is annoyed they were not bribed or whether someone wanted the share price to crash so they could pick some up on the cheap (use friends to do this so not traceable) who knows? I can't believe the minister, Jure Leben was doing us a favour trying to speed up the process. That is laughable. Foul play is difficult to prove but you never know maybe someone in the Slovenian government system will spill the beans if there was foul play. In the highly unlikely (in my opinion) event Jure Leben has made a mistake and is (LOL!) trying to speed things up he should resign as he is not fit to hold a Government office after an error like that. I suspect however will will hear exactly nothing from Jure until a few weeks after the legal letter is received from Ascents solicitors. It seems likely the timing of the intervention was at the very last minute as they know Ascent has already confirmed it only has funds to carry on until Xmass. Unfortunately the legal side will take months and I presume if there is foul play they think Ascent won't be able to follow it through as Ascent will have gone bust. It's conceivable share holders will fund the Company just because they are so annoyed with the man. Indeed If I were him I would be quite worried as there are thousands of Ascent share holders in the World and in any large number of people there will be some nutters lurking.

Apparently there are many Compamies in Slovenia having issues with permits as referred to in Ascents last RNS.
Maybe it's a case of once you are there on the ground trading they know you will need permits for x,y,z and if you don't play ball (as in bribe officials) you get messed around while they have a good laugh? Seems to make sense?

ridiculous. We have a Slovenian minister who seems to have contacted some Slovenian newspaper and used them plus twitter to announce he is delaying two permits ARSO were working on because he wants to, as far as I can see, get the paperwork checked again?? He also want to make sure "no undue pressure" was put on ARSO?? BUT ARSO are the agency in Slovenia that are there to deal with all this sort of thing!! They should have systems in place so no "undue pressure" can happen! I must admit the fact that they seemed to be willing to email anyone who contacted them about the permits back, even though those people WERE NOT EMPLOYED BY ASCENT is pretty astonishing. They should have ONLY relied to official representatives of the partnership. This is obvious stuff frankly. Clearly there are MASSIVE problems with the agency. They should start by sending back a standard email to say they are only allowed to reply to official representitives of whatever Company it is. I really can't believe the way they have been carrying on. They don't seem to have basic rules in place to deal with emails even!
So my point s are these.
1. ARSO are set up to deal with the permits. That is what they are there for! Why is this minister checking what they do! It's crazy. It should not need checking. ARSO should have systems in place themselves to double check everything!
2. The minister must have realised this would send the sp down massively. The timing could not have been worse so it looks like it was deliberate right at the end of the permitting process. Why not a week ago? 2,3,4,5 ..6.7.8.9.10.12 etc.... weeks ago. We are dealing with 1.5 YEARS since the re-application, following the 3.5 years that was spent on the original one. I just burst out laughing bacause this is Monty Python stuff is it not!! Totally insane.

is almost unbelievable. It is almost certainly it's yet another ploy to delay the IPPC permit which Ascent have been waiting 5 years for. Totally blatant behaviour by someone in public office it seems. He does not really think anyone is going to believe for 1 second this new process is for anything but delaying things even more? Do they think humans are totally stupid or something? Clearly they do. How in the World is ANYONE going to trust him in future about anything? If people don't trust the people running the Country then things can hardly get any worse. I feel sorry for the Slovenian population.

Therefore if the permit/s don't arrive soon there wil have to be an EGM to try to get approval to raise unds for the Company to continue.

It's become obvious that someone or some organisation is pulling the strings here.
Ascent were awarded the IPPC permit once before only to have it revoked which was quite likely illegal at the time.
Whether things are legal or not does not seem to matter to Slovenian ministers.
Read the RNS. Ascent have no trust in Slovenuas legal system at all. It's a waste of time and money.
Unfortuinately for them they are in the EU. They will be held to account for this outrage and the other ones that have happened to other Companies (as also referred to in the RNS).
I think Slovenia is now as popular to invest in as Uzbekistan.

by Government ministers there is no backstop for investors to fall back on.
Slovenia is now a totally uninvestable Country and anyone who has a single euro invested there needs to pull it oyt NOW IMHO.

it does not matter. Once faith in the legal system has gone there is no back-stop. It is obvious. Slovenia is totally unstable and should never have been allowed into the EU. The ministers seem to ignore their own judges. No rule of law means no one will invest thwere. I mean no-one with a single brain cell. No chance.
