I read the first tweet from whoever that was (nothing to do with AST) as a con, reportable to the FSA.
The second link you posted seems to just say that they are investigating why it's taken so long! Maybe the new Government are going to speed up the procedures as they promised in the election. ASRO may have some explaining to do.

EXACTLY. I was going to post same. Reso is talking rubbish about that, same as Gerry who implies in his posts Slovenia gets all its gas from Russia which is also complete rubbish and he knows it.

The wait has been....... sorry is like Italy. Apparently Italy has an almost unbelievable reputation for taking YEARS to process permits. That is plural. One wonders if Slovenia is trying to out-do them? In this IPPC case maybe they have. I'm sure the Slovenian authorities would say an objector caused most of the time delays, and that is true. Trouble is their system allows for TWO APPEALS (! or is it 3?) after the first granting of a permit. Well you can call it ONE YEAR per appeal. I mean how long............ Total madness. That would make any investing Plc cross Slovenia off any investment list. I think they have never had much/any very major investment so they simply don't know what it could do for their standard of living. They are living in the distant past still happy with the I presume low standard of living they are used to.

Obviously INA are extremely likely to be one of the Compoanies still in discussions.
IMHO most likely some sort of deal with them is on the table provided the permits arrive.
At this rate there will be more gas in the ground! LOL!

You refer to a gas supply cotract with Russia as if all Slovenias gas comes from Russia which it does not. I believe Russia supplies less than 70% of the gas.
You fail to mention the fact that wholesale gas prices have increased by 50% since last Winter when Ascents wells were producing the most.
The fact that Ascent are still in discussions with more than one Company after what........ 5 months is not a negative as your post slants.
Your posts seem bias against Ascent to me.

permit. I believe ARSO are just extremely slow and probably do not realise/care they damage investment in Slovenia to the tune of many millions of Euros. When Companies take you off the investment list they don't tend to let you know.
Assuming we get the permit I'm sure we will be the only Company in Slovenia with one for many years to come!! LOL!

Considering it's taken over four and a half years (and we still don't have it) that fact alone would make it worth more.
I mean assunming we get it what chance is there of another one being applied for and built?
Now other Companies know that it's like moving Heaven and Earth I can't see any more applications going in any time soon! At least ARSO will have less to do in the future.
This new Government are talking the talk but will they walk the walk??
