Until Jure leben knows who sent these abusive emails/tweets he should not be accusing Ascent share holders.
His email has been posted here many times.

They could have been from Children. A 12 year old having a laugh with some of his mates???

Maybe the Mafia were/are invested in Ascent? Anyone, anywhere in the World can buy shares in Ascent.
Russian, Slovenian, Italian, American etc. gangsters/mafia could have been invested and maybe very, very upset? Who knows? Maybe it was a Slovenian NGO just trying to deley the IPPC permit by pretending to be an investor???? This I think is quite likely............ really. Some of these NGO's are nutty as a fruitcake and will do anything to further their cause. I really hope they trace whoever sent the threatening emails and I really hope one turns out to be from an NGO that objected to the gas field.
Maybe Lebens Life really is in danger? He really should have thought through what his announcement on social media would do to the AST share price, then considered that litrally anyone in the World could be invested and consequently very upset with his actions.

They could be British or Slovenian or indeed from litrally any other Country in the World.
Maybe Mr Leben will think twice before announcing on social media news that costs share holders of a Company millions of Euros, possibly ruining some peoples lives.

I suppose if you use social media to announce news that costs share holders massive amounts of money you are likely to get nasty emails and tweets. It's totally obvious to any normal person. I wonder why he did not realise this!!!!

Who knows? I don't but I'll have a guess.
1. The paperwork errors are corrected and the IPPC permit is issued.
2. The Slovenian Government takes months to get back to Ascent and it's partners.
3. Mr Leben declares the application null and void siting "undue pressure and application paperwork errors", leaving the only option to re-apply. This would take about one year based on the last application.
Over 3 weeks now and nothing.

reading the posts. What is needed is for Jure Lenben to communicate what the situation is to the Ascent board. It's been over three weeks. We should be working on the wells now to increase gas production. It's ridiculous if you think about all this. Complete madness.

Don't be ridiculous. Not INA or anyone else will pay to take over Ascent without knowing at least one of the well re-work pemits has been approved. Without the well permits Ascent is completely snookered as I'm sure anyone who has even spent 1hr researching Ascent will know. Considering Ascent still have not even got the IPPC permit (which in fact it can do without for 18 months or so anyway) you can draw your own conclusions about the other two well permits. I think "it's not looking good" would be a monumental understatement. All hinges on Mr Leben of course, assuming he ever communicates to Ascent again.

The news about the intervention broke via a newspaper around 5th November. Jure Leben using a news paper to let the World know that he has stopped the IPPC permit. Shame he did not think to tell Ascent or it's partners (Slovenian Companies) of this. I suppose he was trying to get public support for being environmentally friendly and could not care less about the firms it financially damaged.
Since then Mr Jure Leben appears to have not communicated to Ascent or it's partners, at least as far as I know. Three and a half weeks of more delay so far then over and above the 5 years this totally and utterly ridiculous permit application "Laurel and Hardy" farce courtesy of the Slovenian Government. No Company on Earth is going to invest a single Euro in Slovenia if they know that permits that should take a few months can take in excess of FIVE YEARS. Complete and utter madness. How on Earth were they allowed into the EU? Thank the Lord we are getting out!!!

So did Jure Leben realise intervening and stopping the IPPC permit would severaly damage Ascent Resources Plc?
Did he intervene due to genuine concern that ARSO had not followed correct precedure? If not was it because he personally has decided that he does not want the gas field developed (which is not what his job is), or was it because he was bribed or persuaded to do so by the NGO that has been banned from objecting? Was there another reason?
Obviously Colin will have to give him a reasonable time frame to respomg to what I presume is a request for a meeting to clarify what the hell is going on? What 2 or 3 weeks? No response then what? What if he simply ignores Ascents requests for clarification or a meeting? What does one do then? I suppose what I would do would be to request clarification or a meeting and give them 3 weeks to respond. Then a solicitors letter to say unless the situation is clarified within say 2 weeks we will launch legal proceedings through the European Courts. If Mr Leben won't communicate with Ascent or it's Slovenian partners the only route is the European Courts. At the moment that is exactly where I think this will all end up.

I agree it was highly suspicious that Jure Leben intervened just as the IPPC permit was going to be issued by ARSO. I'd say extremely suspicious to say the least. One can only hope it really was simply bad timing by Mr Leben and he is not a crook as some seem to suspect. We should find out.

My view is Colin should say it the way it is, worts and all. Facts are facts after all.
Then he can say Ascent are hoping that now Jure Leben has intervened resulting in the Director of ARSO resigning Ascent are hopeful that the the processes at ARSO will be changed so the permitting process is faster.
Of course we don't know what Jure Lebens agenda is yet and as fas as I am aware no meeting with him has even been arranged yet. Nothing fast in Slovenia it seems.

To me at least this daft sp is inviting a bid for Premier Oil.
Any oil major only has to look at the facts.
1. OPEC and Russia very, very likely to cut oil production to increase the oil price. Daft not to.
2. Premier about to hit maximum production at Catcher field. 66,000 bopd. See RNS.
3. Zama discovery (1 to 1.4 billion barrels), which PMO has 25% stake is about to spud the appraisal well (start by end this month, so any day).
4. The waivers for the 8 countries that still are allowed to buy Iran oil cease at end March.
5. PMO's previous debts good for any buyers tax bill I think.
Some Oil majors must be looking at PMO, surely with the sp @ 65p making market cap £500 million.
Good chance for oil major to pounce with bid of £1.50 per share I think.

What are Jure Lebens intentions? Why did he intervene at seemingly the last minute before it was issued effectively delaying the IPPC permit for heaven knows how much longer (after Ascent have waited for about 5 YEARS already)? Is he really trying to get ARSO more efficient or is he corrupt? Why has the IPPC permit not been issued anyway? One thing is for sure. Investing in Slovenia could hardly have been dragged through the mud more. I wonder what the average Slovenian thinks of this fiasco which seems to have gross incompetence and possibly corruption built in as well. Maybe they are used to it?? Maybe waiting several years to permits is normal and maybe corruption is rife in Slovenia?
