$1 billion from the Indian Government. The sp will find the right level to sit at until the record date one presumes so no need to panic when the hoped for good news arrives. I'll probably just hold until it levells off and sell maybe 50%. OK the sp might spike over the level it settles around by several %, but at least it won't spike and dive as much as some announcements we might get. The already announced special dividend should keep things calmer. Hmm.... £2.65??

It's a secret I think, LOL! Had a look around some sites and at end 2020 was something like £6-800 million. Obviously a lot happened in 2021 so my best complete and utter guess is £750m. With 498,188,093 shares in issue that would be £1.50 a share. The $1 billion compensation gives approximately £738,745,000. Plus the £750,000,000 = £1,488,188,093 / 498,188,093 = £2.98p per share. Inaccurate but gives some idea where we should be going.
I think I'll stick to the £2.50 to £3.00 sp prediction for where the sp spikes to assuming we get the compensation from the Indian Government. Should be fun when it does (assuming it does!!).

I had from somewhere a figure of £600 million but can't remember where that came from.
If the "true" value of CNE can be nailed down (to say the nearest £50m) everything should become a lot clearer. I hope!

The only entity I can see taking over CNE is the Indian Government.
Seems to me if they are about to pay $1 billion of their own cash to CNE in compensation why not just pay the other what £600 million or so and get the entire Company too??
Then, in effect they don't pay the $1 billion do they as they are compensating themselves!

Gas field was supposed to start production in ...... JULY....... Seems mad. BUT maybe the delay is more regarding hedged gas production. As in a load was hedged at levels way, way below the current gas price. So if we wait long enough the hedges expire (I presume), then we get full (4 fold?) increased price for the gas???
Maybe there was no big rush to get this sorted out??
Last time they said 1 quarter 2022 I think.

Regarding people moaning about time scales I can only guess that some have borrowed to invest in CNE and have some time limit?? Borrowing money to pay for shares is dangerous!

Brent oil price staying $70 to $90 for the forseeable. Omicron looks like it will have washed through UK/Europe/USA in a month or so........ hopefully we won't get another very dangerous variant like delta for a long time. If in between we have less harmful ones our immune systems will be on the case of a nasty version quick so maybe, just maybe we will be out of the woods in a month or so.

Do you have a short position here that is making you lose sleep? If you have I think your loss of sleep is fully justified. I'd close the short and bite the bullet with the loss if I were you. I see the money coming in and the sp leaping to over £2.50 this month.
