Brave man! I am still watching although very tempted. Your calls are usually pretty good so that gives me some more confidence on FRES.
Lets see what tomorrow brings, both for CEY and FRES and then I will re-evaluate.

Like you I am watching FRES They seem to be getting pretty much the same magnitude of pounding CEY got with the end of year announcement and the disappointing prod guidance, back in Feb. I would be tempted to dip a toe in FRES given the extent of today's fall but am held back by the memory of how CEY continued to drift down for many weeks after that (albeit with a falling gold price). Are you tempted?

Good spot. There are a number of key elements that seem to be coming together. The forward production guidance for the next few years will be very important - I can't help but think they will be very conservative in making this call given last year's problems; I do agree however that Gold price is key and that the Fed numbers will influence this. Having said that at the moment gold seems to shrug of any news that you would have thought would drive it down.

On the HL website it looks like a buy of over 10 millions shares at 123.4 went through an hour or so ago.

For my part I expect tomorrow to be good although I am not so sure that I would bet £12M on it.

I think that one reiterated 110 which seems a little low to me but then again I generally hold brokers in very low esteem and the smaller the company the more junior the brokers covering it therefore the less credence to pay to them.

Thanks for posting the link; very useful to read the transcript.

I note that Andrew confirmed they will be releasing guidance for 2020 and 2021 along with mid-year results on 31 Jul. Interestingly elsewhere he says they will be in the Hapi zone for all of 2020. Dare we expect strong production figures for next year to be announced on 31 Jul. That would certainly help the SP.

Let us hope so. There is sometimes a delayed reaction but so far we seem to be at around the 116 which is no more than one would have expected (and perhaps less) from the surge of POG.

I read that as relating to the gold sold not the gold produced. As such the production figure will be unchanged by it but the revenue in this quarter will be lower than it would otherwise have been and we will get the boost you talk about in Q3 to revenue.

The optimist in me called 120-125 but 118 is still a good number and takes us to 234 for H1. Cey are reaffirming the 45/55 split H1/H2 so apply that to the 234 and you get 520 on the nose which is the very top end of their 490-520 forecast. This is both good in itself and suggests they could be holding back production, i.e. have some of their sleeve.
Wonder how the market will react - relief that they are still on track or has the market (like me) got greedy and expected even more?

Having just see PushmePullMe's post that he must have been typing at the same time of me I can see that I was in correct. The all time GBP high looks like it was at £1178.93 so we are closing on it but still not there yet.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think that at £1145 gold has just hit a new all time high in GBP. This will clearly help tomorrow although the key driver will be Q2 prod. Joining in on the guessing game I will call 120-125K for tomorrow.
