I read about this months ago. I'm not particularly worried about the issue with the indigenous community in Ecuador whose land the pipeline goes through, because reading between the lines, it seems like the indigenous community are just shaking down the Ecuadorian government for damages for the passage of the pipeline through their land. Don't think this dispute is anywhere near as serious as the one with the indigenous community on our block.

With regards to the PUT 9 and PUT 12 blocks and the stop on operations, it has ocurred to me this was the reason for the recent aquisition. If you look at a map of the region the new aquisition is accesible by road on the Ecuadorian side. As such a rig and construction equipment could be brought in easily from Equador and ferried across the river. The problem with all our other blocks is they are only accessible through PUT 9 and PUT 12 or are right in the middle of the jungle. There is one to the west of Platanillo but its being drilled this year by a partner, and we've heard absolutely nothing on that front.

It will be interesting to see whether the new aquisition has a central role in the 2019 drill programme.

Thats been happening for months. As far as I can see whoever is doing it can continue as long as it serves their purpose.

3.9 is still at a loss on that basis.

The current SP would suggest otherwise. As everyone knows I expected this to bounce out of the 10s again. I didn't expect it to settle down here as it seems to be doing. The disconnect between the underlying value if the business and the SP is getting ridiculous. Yet the idiot boards decision is to stop newsflow by moving to quarterly production rnss. I'm getting tempted to buy in here, because surely we must be approaching the bottom. I mean, if Indico-1 is a duster how far can it logically fall from here? Surely 8p has to be the absolute bottom, we'd be approaching cash value at that point. Sure, as it stands there is nothing more to drill, but we've still got 5kbopd and cash generation, even though the production is in decline. I must be mad, but I'm considering opening the same size position as I had before nsands and just tucking it away for 3 years for this insanity to resolve itself.

With the results combined with the possibility of a snap election and Corbyn government I'd stay well clear. I'd say enough brexiteer tories are angry enough to not vote or a protest vote to swimg it for him. I'd think having the royal mail in public hands has to be a priority policy for him considering suppirt from unions. Not a good time to be in railways, rm, or utilities, imo.

But why sell out at such a big loss? The last placing was 5.5p and the one before 4.25p. Not exactly a vote of confidence from a big holder.

Worrying someone's unloading at 3.9p in 1m chunks. Why would tgey do that with colter on the horizon?

Yes, I am sure struggling companies get taken over for 450% of their market value all the time. Give me one example of a company which has been taken over at that premium to their sp. I was in a company which got taken out once - alkane energy - it was about a 30% premium if I remember right. That's about 13.65p. Good luck getting your 45p pie in the sky. Pretty sure most of the posters on this board are more realistic in their expectations.

I don't know anything about takeovers but I would imagine - considering the absolute state of amer - 95% of shareholders (including iis) would snap your hand off for 20p, surely enough to get a vote through anyhow. So my point is that 45p is pie in the sky. The SP is currently just above 10p. Why would the shareholders of another company agree to take over a company fir 450% of its market value. At this point a likely t/o price would see most shareholders seeing a substantial loss. But most would probably accept it just because of how infuriated we all are with those running this company. We should be looking forward to the results of the drill in the virgin territory in put 9 and put 12 based on the boards plans. Yet we're all sat here thousands of pounds worse off because they can't grt anything - not even write a monthly production update RNS - done.

Yesterday I was accused of all sorts for my objective posts. Yet here we have someone suggesting amer will be taken over at a c. 350% premium to the current SP. Let me ask, if I may, why would a company offer 45p per share if it could just buy them on the open market?

Think it's more brexit panic selling tbh. The whole market is down.

Like I said before, I'm slowly building a stake here of free shares. I will hold those long term. I am not always a trader, I have held shares in HUR from 2014 and held then from 40p down to 9p and then all the way to 60p and then back down to where it stands today. I also held AAZ in 2014 from 4.5p to 40p this year. If I see something as having a long term potential I will invest. I just don't see that much out there which is actually worth investing in.

UOG is too risky and speculative and prone to placings for me to risk my own capital long term in it. That being said, its a lot better than much of the detritus floated in the smallcap oil space.

Personally I prefer no news, positive or negative, as positive news often gets sold into. I prefer just playing the swings and until now UOG has always predictably swumg between around 4.3p and 5.5p. Quite a significant paper loss at present. That said someone was buying in big at a premium a few trading sessions back which push this up to 4.8p in a day. Nothing has changed since then except the oil price drop, but I would have expected a sell off yesterday which didn't come. I am working on the assumption that today's sell off relates to brexit, since every share I'm following is down heavily. I guess we're all in the air at the moment until we know what's going to happen with that. Aim in general is just shocking right now and I should have followed my instincts to just not trade.

I keep thinking of any potential risk here, colter's been approved, the placing means its fully funded, there isn't any news negative or positive which could cause significant volatility in the short term. All I can see is the price of oil. Very tempted to double my position here, but can't shake the feeling i'm missing something.

close to buying 100k shares at 4.19p back then on that dip but fear took over and I missed the trade. A few trades and now people are paying nearly 4.3p again. Went to take a shower and think about whether it was a good idea to make the trade and by the time I got back it had bounced. Now 4.3p to buy again.

Down to 4p on the bid. Someone's chasing the bid down. Csn buy for just under 4.3p

I only sell the capital back so slowly building a holding of free shares. Just broken through 4.3p so maybe I will get burnt this time. As far as I see oil continuing to drop is the main risk here. Colter should see this rise at least back to the placing price. Then again you never know with smallcappers, but that's the risk you take.

4.3p has been the bottom in the past. 4.35p to buy right now so only missed the bottom by 0.1p. Should bounce as oilis back up. Fair point though, should have waited a while longer to buy back in. Would only look at selling if it breaks through support.

The sp ends up down despite rising earlier as a result of a closing auction lse showing 10.28 as the closing price. Not like we haven't seen this many times before.
