Well the most significant news is certain to come before the end of the year. FID was targeted for H2, so either an announcement will need to be made confirming FID or if FID isn't confirmed it would need to be addressed via announcement. So as I say, one way or another news is forthcoming.

Just to clarify, on 21st August so approx 3 weeks ago you said "F, I think we will see a £1+ in short term,…ALL IMHO DYOR" - so presumably you categorise yourself as one of the heavy rampers? Although not long before that you said you shorted the share at 42p. Then not long after said "Added more @ 73.564p…..ATB". Now you are saying you expect these to drop to 60p and wipe out a further ~20% of your recent investment, in additional to all the losses you surely made on your 42p short.

If these trades are to be believed, which is doubtful, you probably want to stick to holding index funds in future.

Who said there'd be a lack of news? Plenty of news to come in the near future one way or the other.

Looks like a lot of the ducks are in a row for securing funding. Navitas raised their funds last week. RKH look set to raise theirs on Tuesday. Based on Navitas announcement FIG approval look to be the next thing to tick off, pre FID. Does anyone know if there’s any meetings scheduled in the FIG upcoming agenda for this ?

BB_hoppa - I don't, I see it as manipulative deramping and often full of misinformation or scaremongering.

There's no issue with people sharing negative views, a few posters who clearly are holders have done so recently. But when someone is persistently posting nothing but negative views it makes you wonder why (or if) they are invested. And if they aren't invested then why post on the board, unless they have some other sort of agenda.

Interesting how Happy and Buzz seem to appear at the same time with a flurry of negative posters.

HappyInvestor100 - the reason it isn't priced in, is because a lot of II's, and some PI's see a big difference between "near certain" and "certain".

Not to mention the fact that many people aren't aware of Rockhopper. The media will be all over the story if/when it's finally announced that Falklands Oil has been given the green light. Whether it's good publicity or bad publicity (which I'm sure there will be some from the green brigade). It will bring attention to this company to people who may not have previously heard of it.

I don’t think you can reason with Happy though, this is someone who just suggested there is a risk that the state of Israel could block an Israeli company, from operating in a UK territory, to appease Argentina.

I’m not sure if I’m mixing HappyInvestor up with someone else, but I thought I remembered them being a reasonable poster in the past. But if that’s the case they’ve clearly since sold up and are getting more and more desperate by the day with their deramping.

Buzzthomas - it doesn't say anything about Israeli banks. It says international bank.

Sam didn't say "the bank is a house hold name in Israel." He said "they are a household name, who everyone in the room would definitely have heard of." I don't think there are any Israeli banks that someone could confidently say a room full of primarily British people would definitely have heard of.

They couldn't have waited until post FID to raise cash. The CEO said at the AGM that the funders (international bank) needed Rockhopper to have the neccessary funds in place and contingency funds before they would agree to funding. Without funding in place, there can be no FID. So the option of raising funds after FID wasn't on the table. I'd say the early fund-raise is a sign that the funding discussions are well progressed IMHO.

Let’s not forget that your post this morning said that the insurance RNS would have almost no effect on SP because it was expected. But coincidentally the market cap has increased today by almost exactly the value of the insurance payout.

I’m not ramping, this is still a risky share by most standards. But IMHO there is absolutely no way FID is priced in. We’ll see a big spike in the SP if that RNS lands in my opinion.
