Nothing in particular just the market probably on its way to dropping a further 700-1k pts prior to stabilizing probably early 2016. Oil should start to settle down about mid Dec as a start, but there's nothing re IOF, one way or the other. Lots of profit to be made in a falling market though.

Yes we all know that but its when and how plus on what terms. Its not a bank overdraft which is callable at any time and neither is it a mortgage against fixed assets. Also it doesn't seem to be a floating debenture either but rather a straight loan at a fixed interest with convertible terms with a fixed repayment date with the conversion taking the place of any security. In other words unlike your house mortgage there is some flexibility with the lender having the option to rollover all or part of it. Please go off and have a good look at it. Details should be with the Registrar of Companies if you care to look. That is the Stena deal. The other $5 mln I'm not up to date on but its details will also be with the Registrar. If not the loan may well be unenforceable so I assume it has been registered. When you've had a look you can tell everyone all about it.

Wouldn't bother about S49 I deal often with Stena re drilling/oil and they appear very relaxed about IOF. Of course that can always change though so maybe S49 has been to Stena Board Meetings & knows more than I do. Re Chile, most of the producers there produce in Pesos but sell in US dollars, so the last couple of years have had a 30% or so exchange profit, hence being easily able to keep their iodine, copper, and lithium prices down. But that's beginning to change and if the dollar starts falling as seems likely then oil and commodity prices will rise.

See the price of copper rising on the back of Zambian mine closures plus Chile tsunami which hit the Chile copper mining/iodine main export points. Should mean rise in Peso against the dollar and with that a hit on the Chilean iodine producers export prices quite soon. Christmas may be coming early for IOF

The debt is due 2017 and Stena has already verbally indicated it will roll it. Stena debt is mainly made up of reinvested profits it made from trading IOF shares earlier so two bites at the same cherry. Nice if you can do it !! So stop making things up as you go along. Stick to Solo and Dor there's far more mess there as you well know. Cash reserves we need to see at H1 without you telling everyone what they are when you don't know do you.

I wouldn't worry too much about the iodine price as that seems to be in the hands of some of the Chilean producers all of which seem to need $28 per kilo minimum to just breakeven and that is after pricing in local currency but selling in US$. There's nothing IOF can do about that except try to produce at less than $28. The positive is that at last the IOF system is proven to work provided IOF picks the correct site (& in the past it didn't always do that) to avoid expensive mistakes. Also the shale drillers have left over 3k polluted messy drill ponds behind, almost small lakes in some cases, so there is plenty of work for IOF and others, but not all contain enough iodine so water samples will be crucial. As to the lenders there doesn't seem to be any pressure there at present but things can change. Stena though shouldn't be a problem as its loan seems to be merely a reinvestment of profit from its previous IOF shareholding so they have two bites at the same cherry. Nice if you can do that. But I think it will be early next year for shareholders to even see any real progress with this one. Meanwhile have a good look at the H1 interims - Hawky will for sure. Finally re directors remember they are in US so short of flying over there to have a look there will always be a grey area there.

Generally no, they should be busy running the company to the best of their ability on a daily basis not worrying about what share holders think or don't think. If they get it right the shareholders are happy anyway. I however see my largest shareholders at least quarterly and the company does make a point of never turning away an investor no matter how many shares are held. Not all companies do that unfortunately.

Last I heard from IOF and its NOMAD was the accounts should be out mid Sept so just be patient until next week.

I suspect we're all rather bemused why you suddenly turn up here after a long time on ADVFN. There must be a reason why you think you can make a difference here. We already have enough with two other complete jokers, and they know who they are. Still you're welcome to say your piece from time to time. As to my view, that's it as unlike a couple of people on here I'm neither pro nor anti IOF but I do recognise a project company when I see one. Usually such takes 24-36 months to come to fruition and that's exactly what's happening here albeit in the past it was probably stupidly pumped up by people who either should have known better, or had another agenda. Lastly I'm sorry you don't like footy.
