Iodine price is actually $28-32 per kg depending on quality. The regular $28 per kg is mainly the Indian market which always goes for the cheapest price regardless of any quality. Plus $28 per kg seems to be Chilean lowest cost price aided by a weak peso. IOF on the other hand is to some extent offsetting this by producing derivatives of iodine through its IOF chemicals subsidiary so building in some immunity to the raw iodine world price.

Looks like IOF directors are finally moving forward building on the recent interview. Not yet completely out of the woods but at last some daylight. Al least its lit the SP touch paper.

You need to realize that the Becker video interview is probably the first shot, of many I suspect, of an IOF marketing campaign aimed at a broad spectrum of investors plus likely iodine customers. I welcome it for what it is saying IOF is alive and well and we're ready to do business. No more than that which is all that's needed at present. They have spent 18 months learning and sorting out the mess much of which was their own making so getting ready to move on. Its a typical new project scenario.

It may have escaped you but the research notes don't appear much on here so may I suggest you carry on reading your favorites over on ADVFN as that bb is full of those somewhat exotic articles and you clearly like them as you spend a lot of your time making contributions there. Please carry on doing exactly that. You know it makes sense.

Market is rising by about 1.8%pa through to 2019. Please do a bit of research other than ADVFN although you seem to like that one. As to the sales comment it was probably a small and quite unnecessary statement.p

Its the 'life of the licence' bit you need to get cleared up. Usually its 5 or 10 years and then into renewals, which are not automatic. If the licence was to be renewed in the name of NBL or any other company then its bye bye Argos. Something ARG shareholders need to get the BoD to clear up rapidly. Good luck with that. I'm sure its all in hand but the BoD should clear up exactly what is the deal with NBL on that matter.

Well apart from the loss which is down very considerably poor old H couldn't be more wrong. As it is there's a very good chance IOF is even now beginning to move into a net profit. As to the world iodine price even that seems to be showing signs of hardening so with a bit of luck it will move in IOF's favour in 2016. I think H should pack his bags and move on to another company where he can hope for a bit more success with the predictions.

Results slightly better than I expected and very sensibly IOF is building stock re larger more stable contracts. This will inevitably not help the cash position in H2 this year but IOF should still be in a position to eliminate the losses by year end, provided the iodine price does not drop. But there are now signs that due to the Chilean mess and fraud there that iodine prices are just beginning to firm up slightly. Long haul yet but worst seems to be over. As to the water licence situation IOF is wisely playing it down since anything could happen re that one.

Well you may be correct but at present iodine seems to be $28-32 per kg depending upon quality and IOF's stated cost is supposed to be about $21-22 per kg but I suspect its actually nearer to $25 or so after intangibles are included. The SP isn't helped though by a 105k shares rollover being shown as a double sale hereon. Good luck with your 14p call.

Xeoss, well its been a long time coming but perhaps it finally has. Let's hope IOF can start to capitalize on it, beginning by getting IO1 put in the right spot for iodine extraction.
