Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
tuan don't worry, you're not invested, remember? You don't need to come back to this board, be free! There are so many companies on what's called the stock market just waiting for your investment, it's wonderful! If you find one you like, you can invest and write positive posts over there!
I myself have chosen to invest here and will see how it pans out. Fortunately I do my own research and keep up to date with the company on a daily basis, but in the end I make my own decisions and invest my own money. What I don't do is loiter around the forums of companies that I don't believe in. Can't understand it. Take a break.
Boris, a lot of people jumped out due to all of the shenanigans with the old BoD end of 2020/beginning of 2021, and also when they realised that this wouldn't keep swinging between 1p and 7p. There are a few others here who can now see that things are (slowly) changing for the better and this is strongly reflected by both AL and GCs interviews last week.
Your point about the mask having air gaps around it is invalid anyway. Why does anyone wear such a medical mask in the first place? The point has been stressed to death over the last year but it's to catch larger droplets that may contain viral particles. Conventional medical masks (similar to those worn by dentists and surgeons) do just that - catch the droplets. You then have the problem that the mask itself becomes a biohazard. This risk is significantly reduced with the anti-viral layer. I don't see that as a gimmick in the slightest. You simply have to think about it.
That they have the intellectual property for a new nanotechnology that can be used in a variety of applications (one of which has gone through proof of concept, received various certifications and been passed on to a large scale manufacturer). That they already have projects and collaborations in agriculture nanotechnology. That GCs research also includes studies for the use of the nanotech as therapeutic potential in human diseases.
That in itself is enough information for me to realise the potential and invest for medium to long-term. Others can decide for themselves. Seems to me like you only care for day-trading/pump and dump and miss the simplest signs that longer term investment may be worthwhile. One of the keys to a good investment is spotting the potential right at the beginning, before everyone and their dog has jumped in. GL whatever you choose.
Completely agree - as I mentioned recently, the company has undergone quite the transformation. It's not about making a quick buck off the back of a rushed pump and dump but rather about mid- to long-term development of ideas. Having the nanotech IP and countless possibilities for this is huge. Not a manufacturing company but a think-tank for ideas and subsequent contracting or licencing.
We'll all look back someday and have a good laugh when thinking that this was around 1p!
WFH-: "As others rightly point out - the cheap masks have worked well enough during the pandemic, there are huge stocks of them everywhere."
...he says as cases reach record global highs.
Fully agree. Although a mixed bag of positives and negatives we now have more insight into their line of thinking. It's clearly moved away from a possible pump and dump/10x bagger overnight to something where the foundations are being set for medium to long-term growth. They clearly state that they want to utilise the nanotechnology and expand in that direction. Yes, they are frustratingly slow (particularly for those of us in the red for 6 months now) and have had their fair share of bad luck but things are still turning around. 5m in the bank, new board and soon CFO, vision for nanotech expansion, target market, Volz partnership still alive. Strong hold for me!
Why are we even discussing 5,000 people not having to wear masks when 850,000 people worldwide caught Coronavirus yesterday? Stop being silly.
Comek agree. Experience in biotech - that's one of the best areas for having an idea and getting it to market. Also like the part they added at the end of GC's part re cancer and Alzheimer's nanotech projects. Certainly wouldn't want to be out of this over the next 5 years ;)
Let's not forget that this did 40% within an hour last week on the back of a tweet. That just goes to show how much appetite or sentiment still exists. Everyone wanted a piece of the cake at that moment.
Don't get me wrong, I'm just as frustrated as others here and have been in the red since November but I still have faith in the BoD and the product. When you think about it we have come quite far since then, maybe at a snails pace but things are going on in the background.
Good timing with that news since all eyes are on the MHRA for the AZ vaccine. Might cross lines on the old social media.
Supply and demand, no? 60mio people in the UK alone, they will wear more than one disposable mask every few days (theoretically). Wonder if the govt have now found a supply of hundreds of millions of masks in the basement of Westminster thereby voiding the production of every other mask for the foreseeable... Come off it.
Couldn't agree more. Got fed up repeating myself about researching thoroughly before investing - not only research based on the RNSs, but looking outside of the box at supply and demand over X period of time. It's been a wild ride since October but the fundamentals still stand and we have a mask being sold.
Volz... Licensing... Years to come... Agriculture... (Geometric?)... Yada yada. Strong hold for me.
Ian, they have zero obligation to pander to the requests of PIs. Information is released in the form of an RNS when appropriate. I keep repeating myself but I think I can safely say that those of us who did our research are more than happy to hold. When you take a step back you realise that 4/5 months is rather insignificant in getting a new product to market (while having the previous shenanigans to contend with).
If people are truly worried and have lost faith then move on but there is still so much potential here.
Nina, very true regarding the timeframes required to sort out deals/contracts. You can also double that time for any Volz discussions due to Deutsche Bureucratie... But it will be watertight.
There's no point responding to this Dacorum guy, he doesn't process other people's messages or discuss things properly; instead spouting similar nonsense that my ill-informed Auntie posts daily on Facebook.
There have been quite a few of these "contributors" over the past few days. Always amazes me that people could choose from literally thousands of shares to invest in and post on the boards of those. So why do some folk waste their time and energy posting on a board that they have zero faith in? Move on, forget about it. If you're not invested you have no reason to worry. Unless of course they have an agenda... worried about their short positions perhaps?
I did a good bit of research before investing here back in October and still stand by my reasons for investing. Would be stupid to invest such money without doing said research and even more stupid to be subsequently swayed by these de-rampers posting throughout the weekend. Feel sorry for them at times, they really need to get a life.
Anyway GL to all genuine holders.
Funny to see some of these LTHs coming out of the woodwork over the last week or two to pick apart the smallest details and play the pedant. TLM, please try and remember where we've come from since November, the number of things that have changed for the better. PR has really picked up pace, especially today, and most people are happy about it. Why then shoot it down by saying "XYZ news station is bad...123 news station would be better"? Who cares right now? Publicity begets publicity. It will gain traction and come good. In the meantime, try and dig out those rose-tinted glasses.
Graeme Todd's comment is very interesting!
Who is worthy of a new lab coat? A new member or a visitor to the lab?
Fair enough, however, I see that as quite a peripheral point. Why do we need to focus on their vetting process for distributors at this stage? They have distributors. The masks are getting out - that's the most important thing right now. We're not in the position to nitpick this process at the moment. We know they are in discussions with Volz for example, so it will gain traction in good time.
LP:
"No disrespect meant at all. But..."
"not trying to be rude but..."
"No offense meant but..."
You seem rather disrespectful, rude and offensive in many of your posts. Stop trying to stir up trouble with the one guy really going out his way to help the way he sees fit. Torr has done a great job and I personally enjoy the updates he provides regarding distribution etc. Wonderful insight.
