What I cannot fathom is why the SP keeps drifting up and down, especially when it is very likely that like AJB they have probably had a good year.

Load of baloney, you have to have specialist knowledge to successfully run an insurance business plus no recent purchases by directors.

Not really, one of my other little numbers did a special div of 6.6% of the share price in one go last year. If they have plenty of cash as I suspect, I don't see why not.

That's not an explanation of how L&G would be a beneficiary, it's just a statement of how markets can behave - often due to illogical behaviour of so called day traders and the like. One has seen similar behaviour in supermarkets recently where someone suggests that there could be shortages and all the lemmings rush off to their nearest and clear the shelves.

Please explain how L& G would be beneficiaries of USA stimulus measures.

Some of you will note that at the slightest provocation some so called investors will rush off and turn their shares into cash despite knowing that cash will provide virtually no return whatsoever at present whereas LGEN has a history of regularly paying divs. Is this some kind of mental illness?

It goes up and down all the time Y11 but that is not what really matters to a serious investor. Why does one invest spare cash? - to get a return of course and at present and for the foreseeable future solid old LGEN will do just that. They even ignored BoE suggestions and went right on paying divs last year.

No noticable take over activity this morning just steady buying as folk look forward to a decent divi methinks. Only the computers seem to be selling and we know how stupid they can be.

I think we can forget the rumours now. Although the SP is still creeping up probably in expectation of a fat divi in the near future, I don't see a cluster of large buys as one might expect.

Steve305 is correct, have to remember that it's all done by computers these days and as we all know, computers are prone to mental illness because they are told what to do by humans.

Irrelevant, it will all come right in the end when a 6+p divi is announced in a few weeks time.

IMO it can only mean what I mentioned before plus a few more people getting interested, which is wht the chairman hoped would be one of the factors arising from the share split. As I indicated before, for people like me who like big divis (which are just as good as capital gains if one really thinks about it), this little number is almost irresistible. Hence I bought another packet last week. Interestingly I have another AIM item in my portfolio which behaves in a simiar manner and which I bought ten years ago at about 200 and is now 1360 thanks very much.

Usual culprits selling out before a long weekend. They have done it for all the years that I can remember but I have no idea why.

Rosewall is right what amazes me is that laughing Boris has done a deal which is not as good as Theresa's and gotten away with it which is why the markets are not shooting away as some predicted. Conclusion;- not only is half the population below average intelligence but so is half the Tory MP's.

I am gonna have to get a few more of these. Not totally sure of my math but just worked out that including divs, this little number has produced an average return of over 40% in the last five years and I don't see why it should stop.

Cash In? - No chance - those who hold on generally get the best deal in the end plus I am looking forward to another fat divi in the spring.
