Here we have a classic example of just how stupid the MM's can be at times. This drop back in the SP coincides almost exactly with a perceived increase in the number of virus cases recently. How on earth one can imagine that DLG's revenue and profit will fall back because a few more folk are getting ill completely escapes me but it seems that it is happening.

Simple, unless one can find a cash deposit account offering interest after tax above the prevailing inflation rate, your money is steadilly trickling away it's purchasing power. You have found such a deposit account?, oh do tell me.

Lib you say that you are maybe impatient to take some profit but why? Do you actually need some cash?, really?. One of my AIM holdings is now over 11 yrs old and has grown wealth for me by 700% in that period. Do I need to turn it into cash? - No, it is still doing very well and I don't any cash so I will still hold.

Not likely to drop back now unless there is some really bad news. I suspect that many of the more sensible investors have gotten over the virus rubbish and wonder why they are sitting on a pile of cash. As a commentator recently pointed out some folk imagine that about 7% of the population is in danger of death whereas the actual numbers are around 100 times smaller than that.

Absolutely right Nick. E.g. my bro is about to have a £150k bond maturing at around 2.5% and doesn't know what to do because that kind of money is no longer available. He only wants "safe" and thus usually avoids equity but this time around I don't think he has a viable alternative so it's going to have to be something like LGEN.

Need to remember Lib that a whole lot of people are still running scared of Covid and that affects their investing behaviour. Personally I cannot work out why when although the media are always stirring, in truth only a miniscule portion of the population has died and most of them were vulnerable anyway.

Which a very strange thing to write when share prices are chiefly governed by dividend yields and the market's view of future income and capital growth. Let's not forget that the Board went right ahead and paid a dividend only a little while ago despite the BOE suggesting they shouldn't. Doesn't sound like a Board which is greatly bothered by bond yields to me.

Now there is a very strange thing;- Norges Bank just sold a fat chunk. Cannot imagine why that happened unless their computer had instruction to take profit.

At the end of the day, cash, as ever, is King and I have seen nice businesses fail simply due to cash flow problems. I wish I could see a cash flow summary in the midst of all the mumbo jumbo but I can't unless I am missing something obvious?????

Well maybe there is/was - Hastings but that has just jumped 25% because of a take over offer. Dam it, I had a feeling in my water about Hastings a while back but too late now I suspect.

Just because a person is what is called an economist does not mean that he is also good at predictions. In fact I have seen many predictions from "economists" over the years I have been in business and very few get it right, hence most economists are not millionaires. Right now the amount of activity in the street on which I live seems to belie the slow recovery theory:- Two lots of builders, two lots of gardeners, a tree surgeon and two lots of heating engineers and the whole street is only 200 yds long.

ali, we don't see a lot of commentary here as most of those investing know quite well why they are doing it. The history is that the company was a reverse takeover by a fairly clever gent (Mike Danson) a few years ago who then set about building it in various ways. Didn't he do well as it is now pretty well a cash cow with steadily increasing dividends as a result. My original investment around ten years ago is up roughly 600%, I doubt if I will sell in the near future.

THus more or less proving that you have to be a bit mad to sell these at present. Nevertheless there still seems to be a few auto sales; wonder what criteria causes the computer sales to occur at present.

Why does anyone bother with in MF, I have yet to hear of anyone who has become a millionaire as a result of following them and when they do get it right it's not much different from what the average investor could have worked out for himself. I followed them avidly for about five years but eventually realised that they were a waste of space -except for the money they made from the ads on their site.

Lib, If you believe that, you will believe anything. How does it sit with the report from a reliable source that they have had a strong first quarter.

fat, you have not explained why they might need to raise capital. Are you suggesting that their P & L account is about to go red? I think not although it might shrink a tad.

Agreed and cannot understand why so many punters are still selling unless they are desperately short of cash.

I guess the seller was Majedie Asset Management per the RNS a few days ago, bet he feels a right berk now. Just shows that these so called asset managers are not so bright which I already kne from past experience when I was a pension trustee.

Interesting, what amazes me is that only a tiny fraction of the population actually dies from tis disease and yet everyone behaves as if it killed similar numbers to the black death or bubonic plague. I suppose this will eventually dawn on our politicians and particularly the dough bag Johnson.
