Just had a long letter from the childrens school on testing, this are the bits that are important to share here.
Recent pilots have shown how rapid testing can be used effectively and have positive impacts in schools and
colleges. The lateral flow tests that will be provided to schools and colleges produce a result in 30 minutes
and do not require a laboratory to process.

What type of test will be used?
Lateral flow tests will be used in the first instance. These deliver a result in 30 minutes. If it is negative then
pupils and teachers will be able to carry on as usual. If it’s positive then they will have to isolate and get a
second test that will be processed in a lab.

Will the tests happen in schools?
Yes. Schools and colleges will need to arrange suitable spaces for the tests, storage for testing kits – they
need to be kept between 2oC and 30oC Further guidance will be provided.

OK, did he or didn’t he take advantage of information not in the public demand will be down to personal opinion.
However, there is something more important here than money for me, the human cost of what has been going on here.

Dr Alastair Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Avacta Group, commented:

That was 213 days ago then on the 6th Aug (130 days ago) they signed a deal with BBI to produce the tests, it took them 83 days of evaluation and talking, so a decision that was not rushed into, so you would hope they lifted up the bonnet and had a good look inside. So I don’t buy the “issue outside their control” narrative.

That was 78 days ago, so 11 weeks is still too short for a timeframe they describe as being “in the next few weeks”.

So far 64,170 people have died of Covid in the UK.

I was in hospital in April with Covid and spent for me, a fair amount of time in bed recovering from it but I kept thinking the British spirt will come good and beat this, Avacta are on it, they are working weekends, there is a real urgency and determination to beat this and testing, testing, testing will be at the forefront of that effort.
213 days later and they cannot even tell us if the test works, let alone its being manufactured and will be put into battle against the virus. From a roaring F1 to a knack out Robin Reliant in 213 days.

Not sure why you think it was only 4%? He sold 248,543 out of a holding o 679,643, so 37% of his holding.

To sell at £1.80 he would had need someone to buy them at £1.80. Those people would have read the companies RNS statements, which all at the timelines indicated imminent release of a saliva-based test.

AS new that the timeframe he was public promoting were wrong and that the saliva lead test was in difficulty.
If he had sold his shares today, he would had made £178,950 LESS – someone has made money out of this news flow manipulation but it most certainly not the private investors buying his shares at £1.80.

I wish people would stop mentioning the share sale

This bloke has the most incredible business strategy.

I’m not saying its wrong, just really interesting.

He basically starts legal challenges based on grand moral crusades e.g. Testing is wrong, PPE is wrong etc
He then sets you a crowed fund account for the great, the good and unwashed to donate into, so that he is then paid a fine hourly wage to fight said moral crusade. Whilst quite happy as a chap to go out on boxing day and batter a fox to death in his own garden.

They are concentrating on what works, organic activity on their FB page will take up a considerable amount of time and due to how FB have changed the algorithm over time they have killed off this as a communication channel. The only way to gain reach on FB is by feeding the monkey peanuts and the monkey is hungry and the peanuts costs lots.
The only trick I think they are missing is by not running a remarketing campaign on the platform, their competitors are, the investment here in media buying will be easily covered by additional sales.

A good definition of Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate's own marketing efforts.
As an advertiser you will pay the affiliate a set amount per an action, in the dark days of digital advertising that would had been a click, or a lead form filled out. However, those days are long gone, its all down to sales now. An affiliate you will be paid x for each sale they make. This will be based on actual online sales e.g. no money in the bank for us = no money to you Mr Affiliate
The affiliate decides how they want to perform this marketing to generate the sales. Some would had built up large databases of email address and will this to generate sales, others will try PPC (but this is very limited nowadays) and others will have sites that they send traffic to, who will then go on and sign up for the deal.
hotukdeals.com – is a prime example of this type of affiliate marketing. They will drive traffic to this site and will try to sell you lots of different things. Topcashback is another example with their USP being that they will share back to the person buying the product a % of the commission they are making on the sale.
With so much traffic coming in from the Independent, they might even have a direct deal with them, so the media owner will be paid X for each sale rather than on a CPM rate (1,000 eyeballs on an advert is a standard media buying matrix)
This is all performance marketing the media owners are being rewarded based on performance rather than the number of people seeing the advert. There is no room for BS around brand awareness in this approach.

I would have a slightly different opinion and place affiliate marking as having a higher % than this. The new CEO is a performance marketer, the fact that she has already kicked affiliate marking up the backside is really good news as well as pulling of Facebook adverts. She is all about saving waste and driving sells, I have 16 years of digital marketing experience and couldn’t be happier with this lady’s approach to business.

He might not had known about when the vaccine new was going to land. I totally accept that.

But he would have known the spit test was dying fast so a swab would be needed, thus fundamentally changing the test the market was expecting.

He would had known that yet again his timeframes were not going to be met.

Both off these two bits of information would have a direct bearing on the price of the stock, so how can his sell be nothing but insider trading?

Have I missed something, this sounds a million miles away from TT is completed and we have 10,000 tests produced and being used in the field for evaluation before we scale and produce millions.

The performance of the test with clinical samples will now be evaluated as a precursor to a much larger clinical study with COVID-19 patients of known viral load to determine the clinical sensitivity of the test. In parallel BBI Solutions is working to finalise and validate the manufacturing process so that the Group can carry out a full clinical validation on the final product to support the regulatory approval process.
