RE: AGM.,8 Apr 2022 20:14
Until quite recently I used to regularly drop into this previously excellent BB for informed commentary on how the company is progressing and in obtaining a better understanding of the technology involved, to supplement my own research. Apart from comments from members I know and have followed for many years, I now find little of merit to read here. It was back in 2006 when AFC was being established that I was convinced that alkaline fuel cells would become one of the principal technologies of the future to address the demand for sustainable green energy, and I began accumulating a substantial holding in the company. My belief in fuel cells and the company have not waivered since then, except for a slight, nervous period during the days the company was under the helm of a certain Tim Yeo as non-executive chairman. It is now 10 years since Adam Bond joined the board, and personally I still have full confidence in him and the board to take us forward into this nascent, multi-billion dollar industry.
For many years, this has been the first AGM that I have been unable to attend, thanks to advancing age and some covid symptoms, which was very disappointing, as I was very keen to inspect the 10kW "Power Tower" System and the Power Tower EV on display. But thanks to Alt-muddle uploading the excellent AGM Presentation, apart from missing the opportunity to talk with the new board members and the few investors who did attend, I probably have all the information I need to know. I will make every effort to attend the promised investor day later in the year to look at the recent development at Dunsfold and keep up with progress towards commercialisation. Well done to the AFC board and staff for the achievements made during this transformative year.
