Statement re. Government press release
Omega (AIM: ODX), the medical diagnostics company focused on CD4, infectious diseases and food intolerance, notes the press release issued this afternoon by the UK Government announcing its partnership with British rapid test manufacturers.



Further to the RNS announcement released by Omega this morning at 7am, the Company is named as one of two British companies to have secured contracts with the Government to supply rapid lateral flow tests.



Quote in the press release Colin King, CEO of Omega Diagnostics Group plc, said:

"We are delighted to deploy our state-of-the-art lateral flow test production facilities in support of the UK government's COVID-19 testing programme. The collaboration with other UK-based IVD companies and DHSC has facilitated the rapid development and manufacturing capability within the UK. We particularly welcome the government's assistance to secure the specialist machinery needed to dramatically increase the scale of our manufacturing capacity which has allowed us to ensure a ready supply of high quality, reliable British made rapid lateral flow tests.



"Rapid lateral flow tests are an essential tool for identifying COVID-19 cases where people have no visible symptoms but could still be infectious and continue to spread the virus. We are very proud to be playing our part in the nation's effort to control the spread of coronavirus by using our production facilities in Scotland."

One sovereign test, multiple in parallel, Surescreen with ODX and Molo to fill capacity. A Molo/Avacta developed test, Avacta's test in isolation produced by everyone. Surescreen dropped entirely when their 20mill is complete. Molo's original test. It's all up in the air, but if you or anyone has something conclusive to bring to the table then please, lets hear about it.....

Don't disagree with you, the evidence thus far suggested that Molo and Avacta working on a common goal now, but you wouldn't think it to read many of the post here over recent days. Still possible that Molo original test could still be a contender, maybe with a tweak, who really knows. Frankly I actually don't care but have some additional I want to put in - trying to assess where to plunge.

Well no there wouldn't be would there.....Avacta don't manufacture. We'll have to wait and see. I've made lots of money either way if that was an attempt at a dig.

Yeah agreed Mike, hoping for mid-teens (hopefully) although the 36 tons we are waiting for results on, isn't representative of the new area's being mapped.

I',m hopeful, any reasonable grade that makes commercial sense will be peachy.

The grades of gold will almost certainly be in-line with historic assay results from Cloggy; this quartz vein structure was formed rapidly many millennia ago, it didn't get poorer last year, or improve this week - it's literally set in quartz riddled stone.

We are doing the necessary work to map new area's of interest to demonstrate commercial viability going forward.....ffsake get a grip.

I don't disagree ice, here's hoping, but it could be a sophisticated pump just like the one we had early January. I don't want to see that same professional, organised horse chit again......well, not unless they apprise me of it first.
