As you say Pete it is extremely easy to say things in hind sight but I bet nobody around here was crying when they hit that compartment that they hadn't done a full 3d seismic? Oh no, they would be jumping for joy at the thought of all those lovely dollar bills in exactly the same way as they did when we struck gas at NT2 :0))
Yes of course the BoD could have raised on the back of NT2 but imo they thought at the time they had the wherewithall to go it alone (naively maybe) but they had Kiliwani bringing home good revenue and they even felt it a good time to pay off the loan. Now, why on earth would they have paid off that loan if they didn't think they could go ahead with NT3? Why would they even consider raising at that time when in that position? They made it clear they had the money to do it but something drastic changed along the way. (They cannot announce things like that if it is not true!) The minute we hit (gold) the buzzards started circling on the bbs and the sharks out there in the business world would be trying to make life difficult in hammering away at the sp to devalue the business, undermining confidence in the share and the management. Well guess what, they did a fookin good job of doing so and they are still at it. What is worse is that many on here are too blind to see it.
It is so easy to blame a tiny fish in a big pond full of sharks but that's what Aminex is. It is just a little fish learning to swim in very deep waters that this tremendous find has put it in.
153bcf was what they were looking for and they come out with 1.87tcf, I think it's time people gave them the benefit of the doubt even though they have made some obvious errors. Hands up anyone that never made the wrong call...
