I realise you read what you want to read byp. I'm not anti Vax. I am pro choice. Even wrote it several times in my last message that vaccines work and the people that need them should get them. It's a bit like having a debate with a wall except the wall makes more sense.

The NHS themselves have been asking for a bigger budget well before Covid. You seem to think they are wrong and 5 hour A&E wait times and 2 year waitlists are acceptable. You sound like a politician. The NHS needs funds and Covid has proven it. I for one would be willing to pay a little more NI each month to ensure an improved service. Better than paying £3b on mediocre tests fueling China's economy recovery. More funds = better quicker service which in turn helps rectify the cancer waitlists you elude to. It also enables us to prepare for the next pandemic instead of been caught with our pants down again. We have to learn from this pandemic. There are 7000 people in our hospitals, in January there were 40k. The vaccines worked, the covid pass benefits, the self isolation benefits all used to coerce people into reluctantly getting the jab. All the coercion tactics worked. You got 90%, well done. Governments around the world have tried to tackle a new problem and brought forward mitigating responses. These things take time, yet Joe public expected everything to be right first time.

You know there will be unvaxxed, you know Omicron is running rife, you know two thirds of infections are asymptomatic, so there's a good chance at least one in your group has it. Do you care? Ministers have announced that all countries will be removed from the travel red list in England because the Omicron variant is spreading throughout the UK - but travel testing will remain in place. Now the travel trade body Abta is calling for all restrictions to be lifted.

Chief executive Mark Tanzer says: "The government has always been clear that once the Omicron variant is widespread across the UK there would be little rationale for retaining any restrictions on international travel."

Travel businesses are facing a "serious situation" with temporary testing requirements extending over Christmas and the New Year, and into the peak booking period for summer 2022, he says.

So what he's saying is. Screw your attempt of trying to manage this Omicron wave and manage hospitalisations which will ultimately manage the number of deaths. Screw all that, the travel industry is more important so let it just flood through the gates. But what about other variants. Variants smariants.
