Maybe a battle of the affimer tests going on, the US has the potential to outdo us. Still need the affimers sent over though which puts the cost up to them.

Patient samples clinical validation for professional use in association with that UK hospital mentioned in today's rns should allow supervised sovereign test to be used by all schoolchildren and sounds like a likely announcement for 22/2 and I don't know when term starts but suspect there may be tests in manufacture already to satisfy UK announcement. Royal Mail staff will be at the ready apparently. Those schools will be due special deliveries.

Is it going to be as good with samples in the field. S&S are derived from the gold standard. The LFT from AVCT has to be measured by the success at controlling outbreaks. No test has yet succeeded so in effect existing gold standard is rubbish for measuring as are S&S as reported. AS needs to get his head around these fundamentals and concentrate on spikes/binding/early infectious....

The attachment for the Liverpool trial had some disconcerting participation figures for follow on tests and the news is of covid on the retreat. The test will come out soon enough but it is up in the air considering the above how well it will be implemented. Test news and Government announcements on implementation should certainly move things if sentiment to AVCT does not. There must be deep pockets loading up I would have thought considering the therapy side aswell.

Our LFT detects early infectious it really is a bit irrelevant that good S&S has been detected on positive samples of CT 26 and below because the LFT will not be used with pcr screened samples. It is designed to bind with protein spikes and will do that while other tests still come out negative. However it has been necessary to utilise the pcr CT less than or equal to 26 to get past the regulator who only knows a positive when using pcr spectacles. Take away those spectacles and affimers will pick up the most infectious that those spectacles have missed so is in fact even better than the pcr positive controls.
