Wyn, please ask yourself the following questions..

What do I contribute to the topic of conversation? (in the case of this thread, Point Bio Income)

Why are my posts always targeted at the contributions of others? in this case criticising others for 'regurgitating info that is already readily available and therefore in the past and actually not perhaps as helpful or useful as it would seem?'

Why do I regularly reference the share price from 1,2 years ago in a pathetic attempt to suggest that it has some relevance to the SP today.?

It has been discussed ad infinitum and anyone with a modicum of intellect (unfortunately that rules you out Wyn) knows the opportunity here and that the disconnect between said opportunity and the SP is entirely down to the lack of understanding within the AIM and broader investment community.

Unfortunately the day trading, pump and dump ******s that populate AIM simply don't have the mental horsepower to understand the science and hence the opportunity. They prefer to constantly whinge about the SP from 2 years ago, a time when the SP was almost entirely influenced by the LFT opportunity..
An intelligent person would realise that Wyn and unfortunately that is why you continue to make a fool of yourself, something I expect you are about to do again with the inevitable long winded, dull, rambling response to this post.

Sounds like AVCT need to urgently recruit a specialist who understands licensing and commercialising IP......Oh wait a minute...

Agreed Show, and I'm probably contradicting myself a bit here but I would be very confident that Eleftheria Ledaki is a new appointment.
A quick scan of her Linkedin profile suggests she is a very impressive character indeed, Greek (looks like she grew up on Crete) she has a very strong scientific background before moving into IP law, and that's the bit I find interesting. Why would AVCT want a commercial manager with experiencing in commercialising IP?? hmmmm?

Just an observation when we post new appointments (which is great by the way). The nature of the recruitment industry is that when people leave a company, there is very little, if any, publicity.
We have to be careful that we don't view all new appointments as additions to the team, they could be replacements.

As someone that has witnessed the cruelty of cancer first hand, I find it quite humbling to imagine what we are on the cusp of here.
What is almost more incredible is the tiny number of people that would be able to make any sense of your post. One day soon Smith/Tomlinson/Bach could be mentioned alongside luminaries such as Alexander Fleming and Edward Jenner

I think the nyctalopia associated with AVCT is largely due to the market itself.
AIM is overpopulated with under researched and under funded PIs and rainbow chasers.
The key to any successful marketing campaign is to present your product to the right audience, what AVCT have is beyond the comprehension of AIM. Investors that populate AIM have incredibly short horizons and don’t have the time or the capacity for sufficient research. They want in and out quickly.
You won’t sell many genuine £15k Rolex’s on Bury market.
I really believe that if outstanding PK data was RNS’ed this afternoon we’d be lucky to get above £2. Our payday will only come via a TO or a shift to NASDAQ

It really does appear that AVCT could unlock the ‘holy grail’ and the use of the slide demonstrates their confidence.
What is wonderful about Precision is that it brings a simple solution to an incredibly complex problem.

I suppose my question is, do we know for sure that AVCT will be the first to make this critical tumour targeting breakthrough?
Do we know that other pharma CO’s are not also on the cusp of making similar FAP targeted breakthroughs? I’m not sure how transparent big pharma have to be with their shareholders when it comes to commercially sensitive developments? But I would guess they we would have heard about any other competing technologies on the cusp of key read out?

You would have to believe that there would be some first mover advantage and of course, I’m sure FAP targeting is well known and hitherto the ‘holy grail’ of tumour targeting

It’s a quiet Monday morning, I have a question?

Assuming read out is as expected (hopefully better), we have debated the addressable market, I’d therefore be interested on thoughts on how commercial/marketable we feel the IP would be?
AS often describes Precision as a ‘Novel’ therapy which by definition is ‘something new or different’
Yet we know that other targeting therapies are in development, ‘CanSeek’ being an example and whilst it’s very different in method of approach, the outcome of targeting tumours is broadly similar.
Do we know if any of the big pharma’s have their own in-house FAP targeting therapies in development ?
Please don’t see this as a bash, more a genuine question, if AVCT are able to deliver, what do we think the likelihood of their ability to commercialise it either via a T/O or licensing deals ?
Again, not asking about the size of the TAM but the likelihood of anyone wanting to pay AVCT for the Precision IP?

That’s a very large number Richob and a mind blowing opportunity for a tiny Yorkshire biotech with groundbreaking chemistry that could actually increase that number
At a quid a share, it does feel like the handful of us on here that understand this opportunity are the equivalent of Mark Zuckerberg’s room mates at Yale being asked if we’d like to invest in this idea he has had for a social network.

It’s good to dream but I find it very difficult to place a value on what #AVCT could be worth.
In the simplest terms, it will be worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.
Most company valuations are based on multiples of earnings but AVCT have never had any earnings.
They don’t make anything tangible so the company valuation can only be based entirely on their IP and the addressable market that, if successful, that IP will open up.
There’s been lots of research on here as to the potential size of the addressable market, but the size of the market is not the same as the value of AVCT.
I guess the best estimate we can find is read across from other similar deals, Hurst has posted a few and MM also posted one recently on twitter.
At the end of the day, if PK read out is as dynamic as we suspect then normal valuation methods will be discarded as potential suitors recognise a once in a lifetime opportunity to shore up their pipelines and potentially create a raft of new patents.
And like anonymous bidders pursuing a rare Van Gogh, let’s hope the the winning bid is way in excess of the reserve price.

That’s why I am hoping for a buy out as this takes the decision out of our hands (especially if the BOD recommend that we accept the bid)

I’ve said before that I believe that the company is being window dressed for a sale, strengthening of the senior management team, the move to white city, numerous licensing deals etc.
I wouldn’t be surprised if indicative discussions are already underway. The catalyst will, of course, be the confirmation of PK data and subject to the read out, that’s when the fun will begin.

A steady increase in SP would bring an almost irresistible pressure to top slice, especially to those that were spiked with the LFT rise to £2.70 and the subsequent fall to 40p.
I suspect that a significant minority of LTH’s are such simply because they can’t afford to be anything else and are sat underwater.
Once in profit, the temptation to cash in and get out of dodge will be compelling.
For me however, I always revert to the gathering body of evidence provided both by the company itself and the excellent ‘dot joining’ provided on here by the likes of RAH, MM, Energy etc

If it works (and that question has been well rehearsed on here) this really is is a once in a generation opportunity for cancer sufferers worldwide.
The fact that currently only a relative handful of people understand this is actually quite incredible.
Be patient, hold your nerve, trust your research and for what it is worth I agree with RAH that Q1-2 next year will be the timeframe for a bid.

Truth is however for myself and I suspect most of us well researched LTH’s the current SP is almost irrelevant.
If the SP doubled today to £2 would you sell? If it went to £5 would you sell?
I wouldn’t sell a single share at £5 because I have done the research and I understand the opportunity has the possibility of an enterprise value way in excess of £5

I have a perfect analogy, a close family member that many years ago worked for a major UK company when it floated. He was issued with some shares which grew in value rapidly, his investment strategy was that as soon as his shares could buy him a conservatory he would sell. This promptly happened and he got his beautiful shiny new conservatory.
Had he held onto his shares, today he would have been a multi millionaire.

You raise an interesting point, over the years I have been invested I have told several family members, colleagues and friends about the AVCT opportunity and with hindsight I probably wish I hadn’t bothered.
If I have heard ‘what’s happening with that bloody share you told me to invest in?’ once I’ve heard it a hundred times.
I’ve sent them links to RNS’s, twitter articles, even screenshots from this BB but most of them are either too lazy to read or too thick to understand.
My point is, I feel that my network represent a microcosm of the investment community when it comes to #AVCT in that only a very few people outside of the company understand the science and hence the opportunity.
Will the market wake up? Probably not, it’s just too difficult for most investors either amateur or professional to fully grasp, however I am completely convinced that the acquisition teams at the big pharma co’s will fully grasp the opportunity and this is where we are headed.
