Good debate RAH and can't disagree with anything you have said.
In my opinion, I think the BOD are becoming aware of what they are sitting on and its value and simply want to double down on the data before they start shouting from the rooftops. It's potentially massive and they want to complete all trials in full so they can publish a full data set. We think a few months is a long time, they have been working on this for over a decade.
As you suggest, if they were more commercially minded, I'm sure they could 'sell the sizzle' more effectively but I just don't think this is their style and listening to interviews with AS, Neil Bell, Fiona Mc et al would confirm that to me.
The link Timster posted earlier is well worth another listen as AS clearly states near term objectives and critically, timelines, which he clearly explains require some inherent fluidity which are NOT delays.
I've stated before that the fundamental problem with the SP here is not the opportunity it is the market itself. AIM has neither the liquidity nor the investor profile to grasp the disconnect between the current price and future enterprise value. Serious investors don't shop on AIM, they shop on FTSE & NASDAQ and this is where we need to be if only to get close to the broker valuation.
Sadly, I can't see the SP ever reaching a sensible valuation whilst listed on AIM regardless of the content of the next RNS's.
There are only two plays here IMO and that is either, one or more significant licence deals or a full/part buy out, neither of which will place any relevance on todays SP.
It's coming and soon
