This rise definitely feels different. We've had rises before around major news which have quickly fallen back (usually straight after the Vox interview)

The big news this time came out on the 19th Sept, all of us LTH's understood the 'paradigm' significance immediately.

One suggestion could be that the 19th Sept RNS prompted due diligence from II's and the current price action is a consequence of this research being completed?

I challenge anyone to tell me why we can't use this as an indicative read-across for Pre/Cision

An this is exactly why taking a 10% profit at £1.50 whilst sensible in most other investment strategies is absolutely nonsensical when those very shares could be worth £50 - £60 - £100 each

I've been saying for months to ignore the SP and stay focussed on the fundamentals. Don't get excited on days like today or despondent if we drop 10 tomorrow. We know nothing more today than we knew 2 weeks ago.

Why the rise over the last couple of days? Is the market waking up? Is the word spreading outside of a hardcore of researched PI's?

We know from our own BOD just how incestuous the pharma industry is. I would imagine that oncology is an incredibly holistic network.

It would not surprise me in the least if such a senior and well respected oncologist as Dr Tap was well known to and very influential with the FDA. He's probably a member of the FDA board and/or a past or present advisor to them.

I suspect if Dr Tap says AVA6k is good to go then there will be no one at the FDA qualified to overrule him

Don’t get spiked by these unsubstantiated rises and don’t panic at unsubstantiated drops. No RNS at 7 and it can be back down to where it started today.

The fundamentals are rock solid, just let it roll.

What we do know if that the potential of Canseek will have been considered in depth during the due diligence process of the EL purchase. What we don't know is how highly Canseek was valued and what bearing it had on EL's decision to proceed with the purchase.

Just listened to the Charles Archer interview and his comments go some way to explaining the disconnect between the science and the SP

To be fair to CA, he is not unusual in this but his comments are indicative of the investment community's attitude to AVCT.

He enthuses about the science and explains to the best of his ability what is unique and ground-breaking about the science, then in the same breath he caveats his comments with the tired old trope about it being high risk for investors 'because 9 out of 10 cancer treatment trials fail'

Come on Charles which one is it? Is it a potential paradigm shift in cancer care ? or is it a bog standard high risk investment based entirely on historical precedent ??

I think listening to CA who purports to be a serious investment analyst goes a long way to explain the SP disconnect. As AS said in the Sunday Times, it appears the UK investment community have an inability to see beyond their own pre-set narrow horizons. Where is the lateral thought?

CP actually has a decent understanding of the science yet he repeatedly labels AVCT as a high risk stock without actually providing any scientific reasoning for adopting this cautious stance.

AS now has just over 6 million shares. If BP take us out for $25 billion that's 'neck end' of $600 million for Alan. Will keep him in fish and chips at the Whaler for a year or two

Traders Yeboah, they probably piled in looking for a quick profit on todays results.

Having missed out on that they are guessing there will no further updates so they can move there money elsewhere looking for another quick 50p

Anyone who understands the opportunity here and that a BP approach could land anytime hasn't sold a bean. SP could languish over next few weeks and will probably present an incredible buying opportunity for the well researched.

A lot to take in but almost all of it positive.

My understanding of the STS comments were that the efficacy results so far were unexpected as P1a was focussed on late stage patients where safety and tolerability were the key metrics.

The accelerated P2 trial would however be focussed on early stage patients and be targeted against a very specific/limited number of STS tumour types.

Dr Tap explained at the Science day that STS is heterogeneous and has many different tumour types. We have to caution that if the efficacy results in P2 are as we expect it will only become standard of care against those specific tumour variants. It may be some time before it becomes the standard of care for all STS as AVA6k will need to be trialled against each specific tumour type in turn.

It is becoming clearer to me that the only thing that could possibly be holding the SP back is simply the complexity and amount of time clinical trials take to complete and the bewildering amount of hoops that have to be jumped through before the AVCT can announce significant revenues.

Being an AVCT LTH can be tough and a never ending supply of patience is a must. Today, another perfectly solid RNS and the SP drops slightly, no doubt it will drop again once AS opens his mouth.

We've had so many pivotal/transformative (insert your own adjective here) RNS's, over the years and yet the SP has consistently underperformed against both our and brokers expectations. Every time we feel we are close to that key inflection point, the horizon moves away into the distance once again.

Having said that, I firmly believe that the promised Q4 publication of P1a data supported by additional cohort 7 efficacy data will provide that key inflection point.

At this point BP will have all the peer reviewed due diligence they require to show their hands and the second the market gets an inkling of BP interest we will hit ATH's

Not long now, try to ignore the SP today and listen carefully for snippets relating to the ongoing incredible progress being made in cancer care.
