Are you referring to Stacey’s email reply to Tommy? If so, I’d still say that was open to interpretation. Tommy clearly trying to provoke a positive response out of her reference Synairgen with her reply seeming like a way of cautioning against getting our hopes up too much.

I still can’t see his profile pic even though logged in on LinkedIn but my good friend Wigster has screenshot it for me.

There may or may not be anything in it, but at least they are hanging around with a good circle of friends and contacts.

Ghia - yes, fair point! Unfortunately for me I invested post 185p fundraise. And I’m guessing MrCosts did also.

Mrcosts - I think we all acknowledge it’s not been a great company to be invested in. It might be from here though. But equally I think most of us here (including yourself, surely?) appreciate that investing in small biotech or drug discovery stocks is fraught with risk. I did when I first invested and as disappointed as I was in February, I didn’t blame anyone but myself.
I was however critical of the lack of comms but even that I think has improved a little bit. I’d still like more though. That is certainly an area for improvement for SNG and probably why you are the way you are.

I doubt it's a DPA thing. The guy is at a well known conference with cameras everywhere and smiling for photos with his name tag glistening.

I thought we had plenty of stock, more than enough for a trial?

Docdaneeka - so in summary Synairgen has to be a front runner for strive out of this bucket of no hopers! ;)

We are good for inpatient, outpatient, long Covid, variant agnostic, COPD/asthma… is there a reason you can think of why strive wouldn’t like us?

I must be looking at a really old document for Activ 2. In which case I’d be grateful if someone who knows could let me know how many drugs ended up getting trialled through Activ 2? And also how many could realistically be eligible for strive.

I have it that just 5 drugs were trialled on Activ-2. Does that sound right?

- Initially Bamlanivimab which got EUA so presumably wouldn’t go on strive?
- Brii 196 and 198 which passed Activ P2 but then was mercilessly dropped.
- AZD7442 a monoclonal antibody from AstraZeneca.
- Camastat a protease inhibitor.
- Synairgen which passed P2 and which the NIH said warrants further investigation.

So if Tommy is right and Stacey is suggesting that an Activ-2 drug(s) are being considered, then which out of these drugs could feasibly be considered for strive?

“Further agents are in process for STRIVE; however, I am not able to discuss what these agents are. One note for your reference though is STRIVE is an inpatient trial and ACTIV-2 was focused on outpatients; therefore, not every agent will be relevant for both populations.”

Docdaneeka - I’m still undecided on how to interpret this. Having read it back multiple times I can certainly see why Tommy is taking it as a positive.

Question - how many Activ-2 participants weren’t a complete fail? And also could work in an inpatient setting?

That said, I would’ve still thought she’d have just said nothing at all if Synairgen were a goer for strive and she was concerned about letting too much on to Tommy.

Tommy - it just seems an odd thing for her to say. It’s like she’s saying ‘I can see see the dots you’re trying to join but…’

That’s also how I read it. But maybe that’s my paranoia kicking in after February’s events.

Aether, that is a very real possibility. But to make the same mistake again really would be unforgivable. In fact, I'd like to think that they were as certain as certain could be before hiring again.

I would ordinarily agree. But in this case if Synairgen are busy going through the legals on a new trial, they won't be able to say anything. So it's up to Mrcosts to evidence that they're doing bu99er all.

If we get to the end of winter with no news, I'll happily concede Mrcosts has a valid point.

Show me conclusive evidence their not making progress?

The next few weeks/months might not be life or death for Synairgen but they do seem very important. I think we’ll all be disappointed if we don’t get some materially very good news during winter.
