My understanding of SNG001 helping for LC was more that if administered early on that it would trigger your innate immune responses so you start fighting the virus ASAP, and therefore the virus wouldn’t have time to royally screw you up and cause long term complications.

Let us all just hope for that RNS and continued positive pressure upwards on the SP. Bear in mind that despite the decent moves in recent days, we are basically flat over the month and have been some way higher than this post Feb. My guess is that there was a buyer today who didn’t care if they wiped the order book out and pushed the SP higher. Volume traded would support that… Polygon are much more clever, managing to trade serious volume without overly disrupting the SP.

Again, I hope I’m wrong and that we get an RNS, TR1 and whatever else!

I reckon MrCosts knew this would go up 15% because he decided to double up and go for the round 1 million shares today.

We’ve had lots of good news and data since Feb. I listed them all just the other day. They’ve done nothing for the SP so I don’t see some LC data doing much different. The market has decided the only news that will materially move this SP upwards is news of a trial.

I’ll be very happy to be proved wrong.

Putting my anti Manifesto hat on, this suggests a trial hasn’t been agreed as yet. If that’s the case, we’ll no doubt have missed winter again.

I’m going to channel my inner Manifesto and maybe I’m reading too much into this, but again they’ve used the word “refine”. You can’t refine something you don’t have, surely? I like the definition of refine on Google - “polish up”!

You’d like to think so! Even now I sometimes can’t believe how gung-ho they went with everything from recruitment, commercialisation agreements, new websites, PR deals etc etc, and all the while they didn’t have any clue at all on the outcome of sprinter. We thought they might have been given a nudge and a wink… but nothing. Quite incredible they did all they did, especially considering we’d already bloody well missed peak Omicron.

HSD - I'd agree about the optimism bit. Although look at the optimism shown pre Feb and how that turned out!

wpa - they got it wrong. It was a calculated investment, but they got it wrong. They should have bought after February. But like us they didn’t have a crystal ball.

Tommy - our posts crossed, but I can now see you are suggesting they are getting (inside) information from other sources, not necessarily Synairgen themselves. That's fair enough I suppose. Still a shame it didn't help them (and us) pre Feb, though.

TommyD - I genuinely hope you're right, because it means that something good is clearly going to happen.

But I maintain that Polygon are not as wise and all knowing as you're making out. They got it wrong like the rest of us on the sprinter outcome.
At the AGM, we probed quite a bit on Polygon and Synairgen were adamant they attend a semi annual meeting for II's and leave them get on with running the company. Synairgen would never risk giving them the slightest hint of anything that could be deemed inside information, which means Polygon are doing their own research like the rest of us. Research that failed them back in February.
Of course, I'd like to believe it's not failed research and that ultimately the drug is proven and commercialised.

Out of interest, what do you reckon Poly know a lot more of that we don't?

I really do think we over analyse Polygon's buying. They don't know anything more than us... how can they without it being market sensitive and inside information? If, for example, Synairgen know they are all but on a trial and such a trial is just being "refined" (remember they have used this wording recently), I don't think they'd risk telling Polygon what would be massively market sensitive information... that would potentially mean jail time for all of them.

IMO, Polygon are simply bullish that we'll get on a trial(s) and/or that what we have is worth more than 17p per share. For an absolute fraction of their original costs they have managed to massively reduce their average in price. It seems logical to me and is what I've done myself.

I will add that they won't give a t055 about us PI's and if they can make money at our expense, they will. Which is why I'm always slightly wary of them getting a bigger and bigger stake in the company

I appreciate there are shareholders of Synairgen who don’t frequent LSE, but judging by how many investors on here have stayed invested and in lots of cases averaged down, I’d say most investors pre February have remained invested. Even the likes of MrCosts have remained invested, despite despising the company!
As such, I think many would be very unhappy with the likes of 35p. But as mentioned earlier, you have to judge any offer based on the circumstances at the time. IF we get on another trial, personally I wouldn’t be selling for anything less than all time highs.
