I fear the phrase and tune will be apt for the whole country in the next few months Alpha. 59 years old and this is the biggest crisis of my lifetime. Millions will fall beneath the poverty line this winter. Triple whammy Brexit, Covid and Ukraine rolling over us and a govt that hasn't got a single clue how to solve any of it.

No question we had to pass Activ2 at a very high level to be progressed to a P3 that didn't then happen because of the impossibility of trialing successfully against Omicron. This situation persists in outpatients - particularly for expensive outpatients therapies ( fluvoxamine pushing for EUA outside based on " hey mac - it's just five bucks - fi dollars for 5% whaddaya say ! " ) but we now have 4 complimentary datasets that can take the drug into NIH hospitals and then bring it out again if a new varioant kills of the remaining outpatient therapies. That's how i see it with my rosiest tinted glasses on. Based on us getting onto STRIVE soon and getting our "tens of thousands" of treatments into hospitals across the States. Timescale still a big problem even with STRIVE - but if we were start in the next 2 or 3 months we'd finally revover some momentum.

HSD it's the new platform trial NIH are launching for inpatients. Meant to start this month but according to Org at least - now delayed till early September. Nothing links us directly to it but it's been our #1 hope for a while and was confirmed by Stacey Adam in mid July in this presentation

I won’t do it Tommy but one could post an equally compelling list of Synairgen failures since July 2020. And since Feb 21st for that matter - beginning with the disastrous RNS itself.
All that matters for now is STRIVE. If we get onto that all is well - if we don’t, none of your oft repeated positives will mean a thing. We need our US partners to continue to support SNG. No other platform will get us moving quickly enough in the right direction.

As for the substance of the row - Brysoa has contributed a great deal of excellent material over the last 2 years, and despite your constant attacks on Ghia, his credentials remain intact. Amers has the right as any of us do to express an opinion regardless of how much he contributes. There's no entry fee to this board

98% certain that David Boulware is speaking about Fluvoxamine - either on it's own on A6 or in a new trial in combination with another trialist

If you look into David Boulware's history his links to Fluvoxamin are very clear.
He conducted one the first real world successful (but small) Covid trials of the drug which reported in Feb 2021.

In the COI section of the report of this trial the following is listed "Potential conflicts of interest. D. R. B. is an unpaid coinvestigator on the phase III trial investigating fluvoxamine for coronavirus disease 19 "
So he worked on Together as an unpaid nvestigator - and then contributed a supportive letter to the Lancet responding to the failures of the Together trial and suggesting ways forward. This was acknowledged by Gilmar Reiss (Together lead investigator) in his March 2022 response

I guess it's possible that Boulware has inside knowledge of something else on Activ - but if he does I can't find it and it would be extraordinary if it were the case. He's a Fluvox guy.
Also possible that we'll see a new trial announced on Thursday rather than just an update of Fluvoxamine on A6or any now analysis NIH has made of the 2 trials. Gilmar Reiss says in his March letter to the Lancet
" We are also examining fluvoxamine plus inhaled budesonide as a combination. We are intending to evaluate fluvoxamine plus molnupiravir once we can access the antiviral. "

hi Dactions i admit it's a bit odd having decided to delete my account and then changing my mind a couple of weeks later. I'd grown tired of the fight i have to admit but a couple of weeks of r&r in the sun recovered my enthusiasm. Having made the decision to come back I wasn't going to pretend to be someone else - so a small change to the name was the solution. It's me - warts and all - and if Mani leaves me alone I'll leave her alone. the rest of us get along very well.

I'm afraid that's right Aether. Woody needs to leave this place forever or make a new name and sit quietly until we get news. Sorry Woody - but you can't unsay all the awful things you've said in the last 6 months and pretend it's 2021 and we're all pals.
