Thanks bigmj for your thoughts and hope the new job is going well. Holders here do appreciate your input and the comfort and sense of rationale you bring to the board.
Because for the life of me, I cannot understand why CP leaves comms until the last push up, seemingly unflustered about how it looks, leaving the company open to attack from trolls and stressing out genuine shareholders. And yes I think he's a good guy.
We know the news will come, CP has never dodged that, and during his last interview I made a checklist of things we were expecting on the run up to cancellation. Everything was covered as he said and of course we were glad to here that. But to leave it until the last day really looks careless at best. I know CP is a busy man, and I totally understand his laid back Ozzie approach but this is AIM in the UK and the support of your shareholders is critical, especially big holders. Surely, by now, company comms can be tightened up, RNS's often littered with spelling mistakes that could have been spell checked in a basic Word program before being allowed to be released, etc. All of this goes a long way to looking more professional than LION has done so far.
I'm very much for not over panicking and letting the company get on with it. I know they've worked very hard and there's been a mountain of detail involved because I know my own company's navigation of the app B2B2C market and it is fraught with delays, dates pushed back, legalities and a helluva lot of work, testing, retesting, etc. But how you come across to others is important too. It'd just be nice to be informed of things in a nice easy timeframe now and then without gnawing our fingers to stumps waiting for the final bell close of play most times.
