E-Mz-55:-Well E-Mz-55 is planned in the central part of the Airshagyl structure, approximately 7.3 kilometers north-west of Well Nsannovskaya-71.The well will be drilled to a Planned Total Depth of 2,300 meters, targeting the Middle Jurassic J-I reservoir. Seismic analysis has identified a clearly defined palaeochannel feature at depths of between approximately 1,950 and 1,990 meters. The well is designed to evaluate the reservoir potential of the palaeochannel and the possible extension of the productive Middle Jurassic interval present at the neighbouring North-West Yelemes field. 2823sq Km contract area, 3 identified structures. The Board believes both BNG and Block 8 may have similar geological characteristics as at the nearby world class Tengiz and Kashagan oilfields.

Acquisition terms:-

The licence for the Block 8 Contract Area is held by EPC Munai LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in Kazakhstan, which is in turn owned by Procyon Capital Limited (Member of the Oraziman family) a company registered at the Astana International Financial Center in Kazakhstan.

Caspian Sunrise PLC will acquire 100% of Procyon Capital Limited for an initial consideration of $100 payable in cash and deferred consideration of up to $60 million from the oil produced at the Block 8 Contract Area payable in cash via a $5 per barrel royalty. The required consent from the Kazakh Ministry of Energy has been received with completion now dependent on the approval of the Kazakh Antimonopoly Authority.31 Oct 2025, approval now received RNS 28 Jan 2026

The Block 8 licence was previously owned by LG International the Korean conglomerate, who in 2006 started to acquire 3D seismic data over approximately 456 sq km, in Sep 2011, LG-GeoPark abandoned plans for a $10m drill, quoting regulatory delays "The Sholkara prospect has an unrisked mean oil resource estimate of 100-400 million bbl." Two wells were drilled in 2022 and 2023 to depths of 3,922 and 3,408 meters respectively on the Akkaduk structure. As noted elsewhere, testing of these wells has not been permitted during the very extended period during which the licence renewal applications are being considered by the Kazakh regulatory authorities.

The launch of the ‘Caspian Explorer’ barge was officially held on June 14, 2012 at the Ersai Caspian Yard (IMO: 9605671) is a Drill barge, overall (LOA) is 114.5 meters and her width is 40 meters. Owned by Prosperity Petroleum, a UAE registered holding company for the CE, In 2020 we acquired the Caspian Explorer All cost written down in previous financial statements so that its carrying value now $1.7m, Originally bought for $25m, issue of 160,256,410 shares (Then 12p per share) Approx $300m replacement cost,

1) In June 2021 Caspian sunrise announced its first charter with KNOC (Safety related, non drilling) $1.2m was received for the charter, the income from the charter covered the Caspian Explorer's costs for the year. RNS 27 Jun 2022

2) In 2024 a drilling contract with ENI commenced, the charter generating revenue of approximately $14.3 million and a gross profit of approximately $3.8 million , Discussions are at an advanced stage for up to three separate charters in 2026.

Mooring:- The Caspian Explorer has recently moved to the port of Ersai when not on charter resulting in significant cost savings.
