A report from Tarkers on II yesterday.
I was expecting a notification from HTL but as none:
Hi bobsson,
Im still here, roasting in 43 degrees of dusty heat, although bizarrely we had a huge sandstorm over the weekend which resulted in torrential rain in some parts of Dubai. Very unusual for this part of the world.
Anyway, back to our vessel. She is still moored in the same position, Im waiting to see the umbilicals being removed, which would suggest some sort of voyage or sea trial is imminent. Just for interest, on the marine traffic website, where we all watch our ships, the satellite image of Dubai Drydocks has been updated (or maybe I hadnt noticed as the image is quite old now) and the image now clearly shows the AM. The blue polygon representing her is not quite laying over her exactly, but it allows us to see the top view of AM quite clearly with her greenwater protection on the bow. Though the image does appear to be old as the helipad is missing (think its located on the dock to the left of the image) and if you look to the right of the image at the end of the quay, you can see a perfectly square tarpaulin, to the left of which is a circular structure which is the turret (which I thought was the bouy!).
I have my eye on her all this week and will let you all know of any movement.
Nice to see the SP break out past the 48p last week! Onwards and upwards!
