Malcys' tweet on 16.04 read "Off to Kuwait then Dubai, will blog post wherever possible but specially from Dubai Dry Dock on Thursday!" Nothing since, bogs or tweets. Assuming he blogs on the Chairman appointment then maybe he will mention what happened at Dubai.

Annual Results were published on 20th April last year and 22nd April the previous year so could well be out this coming week. Not expecting anything significant in the AR but possibly a news update as well and press coverage may stimulate interest.

In the penultimate paragraph of his statement Dr David Jenkins said: "I expect to be able to pass on the role of Chairman very shortly and then return to my non-executive role as Senior Independent Director." Given that the AGM is 2 months away it would be odd to make such a statement if this expectation cannot be fulfilled by the time of the AGM. Sounds like they have a prospective candidate. First step on the road to a premium listing.

The fall in excess of the dividend is a consequence of the general market decline. It's just that combined with the dividend adjustment it seems a lot. Looking to buy back in for the yield but will continue watching for the moment.

Interesting that the sp movement following the results is very similar to that following the update last December. A spike on the announcement followed by a drop and recovery a few days later. It gives some confidence that the sp will continue its upwards trend.

Yes, I'm hoping for a positive market response similar to that following Plus 500's results last month. If the Board stick to their stated policy the dividend should be 9.689p and the likely ex-dividend date will be 1st February and payment date on the 1st or 2nd March. If concern over impact the FCA’s CFD clampdown is waning this must be on target for £7.50 within the next 6 to 12 months.

Results are out tomorrow but there is no mention of this in the press or speculation on what to expect.

Enquiry to any A shareholders who receive their dividends in Sterling. Can you confirm the amount paid per share net of Dutch withholding tax ? The registrars told me in a telephone enquiry that the payment was 0.3712p (for the last dividend in June) which is the same amount as that paid on the B shares. The reason for my enquiry is that there appears to be a tax advantage for basic rate taxpayers in receiving dividends on foreign equities as the foreign withholding tax should be credited against the UK 7.5% dividend tax.

I assume the proposed 7Bn rights issue will be on offer to all shareholders and not restricted to institutions. Any views?

I haven’t read the circular but the drop in the share price suggests that there is no obligation for Delek to pay the offer price to those shareholders who did not accept the tender offer. Given that Delek now hold over 90% of the company they will apply to delist and the remaining shareholders will be left with shares in an unlisted company. Shares in unlisted companies are difficult to trade so Delek may make a further offer to the remaining shareholders but it will be lower than the original offer hence the drop in the share price. If Delek were committed to paying the original price to dissenting holder the SP would still be around 115-118p.
