Posts on this discussion board claimed that the Company had asked MGW not to publish. I have no idea why but if the claims are true there must have been some reason. I have no issues with your comments so if you think my posts suggest otherwise please explain.

Obviously the company are not going to comment on these Issues but that's no reason why these subjects including passage of the buoy should be be off limits to posters. I seem to remember the company asked MGW not to publish photographs from his Dubai visit . They must have had a reason.

Aduk You may be right about location of the plate. Logic suggests that it would be fitted flush with the bottom of the hull so it is easy to assume this and overlook the possibly of an alternative. In the gallery on page 1 there are 2 photos of the buoy cone; one complete and, just above one of the core structure and in that photo there is a man. Using the man in that photo and the men the photo of the cover plate for scale comparison the diameter of the plate appears to be more similar to the top of the cone (the locking ring) than the bottom. As you say a big hole in the bottom of the boat and all argument on drag reduction is out of the window.

If CA is required to sell down on its HUR holding because of proportionality limits then today's Ocado bonanza should help to reduce the problem

DickyH As you will have seen from the HUR gallery photos the turret is a removable item. It will sit inside a sealed tube in the hull. Think of the housing for a daggerboard in a sailing dinghy. Water will come up inside but no higher than the waterline.

If a reminder is needed there is a photograph of the cover plate being craned into the water prior to fitting. It's in the Lancaster EPS image gallery on page 2 at the bottom.

IJWT Interesting your mention of INEOS. "Someone like INEOS may be interested in such an offtake opportunity depending if gas can be used." Jim Ratcliffe needs gas which is why he so keen on fracking. I don't think INEOS have ever been mentioned as a potential farm in partner but the thought has crossed my mind.

PBLY and Stena Spey have both switched on AIS today, also support vessels. Both rigs are still stationary at Shaw but the support vessels are busy. Picking up anchors maybe?
