They have had a plan for nearly 5 years and in that period issued 4 profit warnings.
Appreciate you are a holder here but donāt let that cloud the facts. Look at their statutory numbers.
They only have Ā£3.3bn of cash and credit, check out how much it costs to run the business (costs plus Opex plus inflation minus efficiency and C19 savings) and you will soon see that this is close to becoming insolvent.
IMO they will be lucky to make 4p eps this year, if they survive that is.

Think you need to re-read my post, I was challenging what aimtitan was saying.
Longer term I agree with you, their costs are very close to, if not more, than their cash + credit. In truth wouldnāt touch this as a long term investment, but as a short term punt trading potential momentum then a more likely proposition.
Apologies to long term holders for my negative view but thatās how I see it.
Hi,
For the record I have no position here, Iām more bearish for the medium/long term but there may be some shorter term upside IMO. Just wanted to flag something that you posted:
āFurloughing staff only serves to reduce the operating cost, the income is unaffected and therefore increased profit.
Additionally with energy prices dropping they can forward fix supplies much cheaper.ā
Staff furlough will save them about Ā£10m/month (not a game changer). Their income is being affected due to customers not paying their bills, analaysts reckon bad debt will hit bottom line by c Ā£200m. On your latter point, they are tied into a legacy gas contract which will incur a pre tax loss of about Ā£100m for 2020. Lower commodity prices has a negative impact to their bottom line despite some hedging - Ofgem will always adjust tariff cap to take on board lower commodity/wholesale prices.

Well done chaps.
Just a quick question and apologies upfront as Iāve only skimmed the results, but any thoughts please on forecast net debt reduction 2020 with a 13% reduction in production.
Thanks
Hi guys, hope it is a flyer for you all tomorrow. Iām still sitting on my hands after selling up at 19.7.
All the best
Looking more short term, Cairnās finals next week (possibly Thursday) so they could uplift Kās 2P.

Hi,
Not a holder here but like the look of it so now on my watch list. I agree with all the potential positives due to Corona but also conscious of the negative impacts if it continues to spread for a few more months, as per their year end results statement it will hit them and eradicate any associated tailwinds (thatās my interpretation anyway), so happy to wait until their Q1 update 16th April.
āTo date, the main impact of the virus has been on our operations in China. In other parts of the Group customer enquiries for hand-washing and hand-sanitising services are strong. At this point in time we would expect only a small net impact on the business in Q1.
We are monitoring the situation very closely, looking to mitigate the risk of the impact that the virus may have on our colleagues, customers and supply chain. The majority of products sourced from suppliers in China are covered by existing stocks for the next few months.
Should the situation continue for an extended period or become materially worse, this could obviously have a more negative impact during the rest of the year.ā
Hi Jan,
Still sitting on my hands. Travel, leisure and oiler shares in particular are being whacked by the virus so until things have settled Iām happy to be in cash and pick up bargains.
Had trimmed my portfolio down earlier in Jan anyway and moved some into bonds, just watching and waiting now. This is about 8% below my sell price and was tempted to get back in yesterday but will see now.
Good luck to all holders, particularly long termers.........I see the worm has turned yet again!, why oh why did folks on here give it the time of day in the first place!!.
Thanks Jan and monkey et al
Soon be back in (if can get in below what I sold!).
Still positive about ENQ and after this weeks activity will make a change being able to sleep at night.
Good luck to those still holding.
DD
Oh forgot, the other low life NH will be making up the gimp / monkey threesome........not a pleasant site to be fair.
All the best chaps, will be back soon hopefully.
DD
Opened the cage as well......run free you scum bag trolls........but not you Itsa, you are the lowest of the low and have something special lined up for you, monkey canāt wait to see what the gimp suit looks like on you.
Krak et al
Hate selling up, normally okay to run at large losses but the market will continue to over sell IMO until signs of virus panic have subsided, seeing your portfolio profit take a caning after working so hard to make it is hard. For the record trimmed a lot of stock this year and sold a few more today, not just here so nothing personal AB.
You and others on here have a lot more ENQ skin in the game than I did so much respect for hanging on.
DD
Sold up at 19.7 at a loss but this foooooker aināt going to win, will buy back lower (hopefully) when markets have settled. Held too long to walk away at a loss given the value here.
All the best to all long termers, respect for holding out here.

I know, but we donāt receive such headlines āNorth Sea Cash Machineā every day of the week......if ever!.
Poo fell 15% in January, the highest since Jan 1991.
Enquest on the other hand increased 9%....okay Feb may be a different story but Iām still very positive despite the current issues.......who would have thought a bad bottle of beer/lager would cause such a virus, oh well, stick to the Guinness from now on.
All the best DD
ps Therapist top man........the troll thatās turned is still a troll.
Trolls - unfortunately though we still have one who has now apparently jumped on board as things have changed.......No they havenāt!. I find it somewhat annoying that some posters seem to forget that this individual was calling this to 13p, saying it was going bust, that AB was pumping the stock, that K had major problems, etc etc. He was laughing and insulting long term holders both here and over on the TLW board........so please folks can you ignore this troll, just because itās turned doesnāt mean itās now not a troll.
DD
Fantastic week and patience now hopefully paying off for LTHās.
My only slight niggle now is AB buying up some NS fields before debt has been reduced, there are a few tempters out there at the moment (Spirit , Spark, etc), so do hope our man resists......for a while anyway.
DD
Spin
Same here, its been a long wait but finally there is light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully will see some decent upward momentum now.
All the best.
Just noticed that Stockopedia have listed their NAPS portfolio selection for 2020 and Enquest has been included in the 20 companies selected. This may generate more pi interest here.

Thanks for posting up the tradingmyran twitter link, canāt understand a word but get the gist!.
