It was you that said JPM opened their short because of trump tariffs, which is a load of rubbish IMO, the only impact could be on SME’s who export to the US and a potential recession as a consequence of the tariff war, but JPM opened 21st March and Trumps “Liberation Day” was 2nd April, IMO JPM are simply following the fact that wholesale energy will normalise and YU will need to increase their customer base at a faster rate than the reduction in income due to fakling energy price. Which is exactly why I’m waiting too!.

Complete nonsense IMO. Plus they reduced their position and took some profit off the table. As I post they are still in profit for their remaining position. Nobody knows their agenda or strategy, but as I’ve posted previously, they will have done their research thoroughly and clearly see downside reward, they aren’t short with any of the main energy suppliers from what I can see, why YU?……..look at the chart ffs and the number!.

So you post up the gas price incessantly when it’s going up but not when it’s falling, why is it falling do you think?

Doubt there will be news until the AGMMtrading update if they actually do report on trading on AGM day, or could be July, only time will tell,

Don’t understand your reference to traders, JPM simply taking some profits, you seem to have some very misguided options about traders IMO.

YU isn’t the only energy supplier with short positions, and changes occurring recently too, but IMO it’s no surprise given the significant rise in the YU share price (thanks to Mr Putin!), that it’s attracted the likes of JPM (bit slow though IMO, boo hiss I hear from my fans on here).

I note that gas spot is now around last years average price……but roughly YTD average is still up c 25% to FY24 (Sparky just to remind you, YTD is from Jan 2025 to current date!).

Bobby boy needs to offload some stock to improve liquidity and get more II`s on board. That would have to be via a discounted secondary placing. That would IMO be a positive for the sp (providing he doesn’t sell too much like his CFO did!).

Energy is now at the average for FY24. Still haven’t held your hand up and come clean that you posted incorrectly about the ytd change!, not the 12m comparison, bad form IMO.

You have posted so many times that: 1) I’m filtered, 2) you aren’t posting again. Both never happens.

You mentioned that a question about energy brokers was raised at the recent investor day.

There has been more media attention recently on the issue of broker mis-selling to businesses (which again I flagged on ADVFN ages ago and as usual got shot down), which may also be a reason for the more recent price drop here, combined with JPM’s well timed short position.

As for the £100/share - I challenged that and got shot down, didnt see you challenge that fantasy, just like you didn’t question Sparkys false posting about the UK gas price year to date!.

This has been in a downtrend for over 3 months, it was never going to keep rising at the rate it had been. Look at the chart, folks happy now to bank their well earned profits and don’t blame them, it’s had its moment in the sun IMO.

I posted a long time ago that there was a gap in the chart at c 1346 that may want to get filled , some folks elsewhere (ADVFN) scoffed, as they do with any views that aren’t uber bullish (a bit like on here), well it’s now been well and truly filled.

Correct, H&L don’t (so they say). My sincere apologies so not all shares in nominee accounts are loaned out……but that’s just one.

Apart from you constantly spitting your dummy out when challenged about the rubbish you post up, what’s even more humorous and ironic, which also applies to your lap dog pip boy, is JPM and others that are shorting this are doing it thanks to holders who have bought via a nominee account. Shares held in nominee accounts, which I would guess is the majority of the pi ‘s here and elsewhere, are loaned out for folks to short the stock.

But of course the sage of YU would already know that wouldn’t you Sparky!

It’s a very profitable business, at the moment, have been very clear about my longer term view about its profitability, if, and yes it may not come to be, energy prices normalise to pre Ukraine war.

As for JPM closing their short position, yes at some point I guess they will, and bank their profits, or cut their losses, who knows - oh hang on the oracle known as Sparky does know what the future holds!.

That’s completely false. UK gas was 125.6p Jan 1st 2025, it’s now down over 21% to 98.7p FACT :)

UK gas price down again, now 97p. Potential ceasefire in Ukraine and milder weather.

Which reminds me that BK stated in the CMD that the weather has no impact on the business yet it was cited in their Finals as being one other reason for the income per MWH being 21.3% less than FY23.
