According to their terms and conditions for corporate business contracts,: “ if your actual consumption is between the range of 10% ( or other value as specified in the quote) more or less than the estimated yearly consumption then you will pay the amounts referred to in section 6.2”

Clause 6.2 is basically the agreed supply rates as per the quote / contract.

So it’s normal to apply such an over and under usage clause but for businesses that have very variable usage per annum I imagine that taken onboard and goes beyond the 10% margin.

Do you know what the margin of usage is for every one of their customers? NO you don’t. Another cheap ramp with zero supporting evidence in terms of likely financial impact.

Don’t know why you can’t just stick to debating relevant issues instead of hurling childish and false accusations at a personal level.

Told you so many times I went long here initially on strong momentum, also been short too, just trying to make some profit same as long term holders here. I do see the bull case, but as I said it’s all predicated on one thing and one thing only - the price of energy. But what’s also clear is that as the price has normalised (yes not fully I accept that) that their growth in profits / earnings has significantly reduced. There will be a point where growth nvanishes IMO and that’s my long term okay here, it’s nothing personal and yes I could be completely wrong .

Unless they start acquiring alternative sources of income or new supplier books then where will growth come from as it’s also apparent that they are now having to discount to grow share, either that or Shell are taking margin, or both.

Unlike yourself I do post on other stocks, stocks I hold and stocks I’m interesting in acquiring, whereas you only post incessantly on YU threads, don’t you hold any other stocks? If so why don’t you ever post on those threads but only YU?

The question around the potential issues with energy broker litigation was raised at the last CMD, so it’s clearly on investors radars.

But Sparky believes YU have zero risks, JPM believe otherwise and who has the knowledge and expertise?, certainly not the former despite his blatant boasting :)

Let’s hope YU has dotted the i’s and crossed the T’s with their customer contracts, surely as an ex-broker himself BK knows he / they have to be completely transparent, particularly as Yü Energy's business energy brokers have the authority to act on behalf of clients with a Level 2 Letter of Authority (LOA). YU closed the broker application process for new energy brokers a while back for some reason.

Sparky has stated previously that YU have zero risks!, such naivety and arrogance is quite alarming IMO. Whilst nothing may come from the ever increasing litigation for broker / supplier mis-selling energy contracts, it’s definitely a risk.

You are the self proclaimed world expert on the M/East, but can’t recall you ever predicting anything, just like YU you only follow what others say.

That said every TU you always claim they will “blow the doors off”, but so far that’s never happened, quite the opposite and a sell off.

Yes indeed, closure would ramp up the oil / gas price, but would it impact YU for FY25?, doubt it. What’s their average contract length, 18 months / 2 years. But it would lift wholesale gas for a short while. Shell will be happy!.

You said JPM will close their short, let’s see eh as you aren’t even aware they could have been short below 0.5% for some time! :)

When this spiked from c 1655 on the tip you also boasted that you’d made £20k, well given your “top ups” equate to only 125 shares, which never happened, then doesn’t take much imagination to realise not only was your £20k utter BS, but now it’s disappeared in reality too.

Sparky back to firm, personal insults rather than accepting that YU’s growth has significantly reduced because wholesale gas has significantly reduced/

Brokers have been reducing earnings forecasts and you are blinkered to what’s actually happening.

You think you know more about the Middle East than most, really!,.

Put your money where your mouth is, I bet you any sum of money you like that at some point the war in Ukraine will cease.

So if you think this is a bargain what are folks selling?, why did the CFO and MD retail sell over half their shares (was it £17 or £18 can’t recall but it was higher than it is now).

I ask again, why has growth reduced so much more than the reduction in gas price despite nearly doubling market share and increasing the supply of energy by a very decent 78% - they have to be discounting to gain share and margins are getting pinched, after all there is very little Capex or sign of them spending any of their cash for growth, perhaps that will come but it’s taking them long enough.

The market has woken up IMO, they know it’s only a matter of time as there business model is not sustainable when prices normalise fully - yes they have normalised (as the company have stated) but accept it’s not back to pre Ukraine war levels.

Can you not accept that there is any bear case here?, clearly not, ramp ramper ramp, but there is!.

You have posted previously that you want higher energy prices, then you realised too high and it’s detrimental to businesses, but that didn’t hurt YU’s profits previously, on the contrary.

Now posting again that gas has gone up, but not a single post when it falls.

Still no answer - FY23 average gas price 94.4p, YU eps growth +547%, FY24 average gas price fell c 10% to 85p, YU eps growth reduced to +11% (down from +547% despite wholesale only reducing 10%), plus market share nearly doubled and energy supplied increased 78%. That’s some fundamental decline and imbalance with wholesale, yes there’s contractual lag but that makes it even worse doesn’t it?, as the higher price charging should still have fed through - massive discounting IMO to grow share and Shell taking margin. What else?.

You do seem to relish the thought of war in the m/east, hence your postings elsewhere pre open, then the realisation that the price here was falling. As for Ukraine, there will be peace that’s a given, what’s not a given is when.

Think you know the answer to that, if shipping via the straits of Hormuz because of safety concerns then of course it will impact energy prices, but IMO whilst the US are still in talks with Iran about nuclear then IMO the strike by Israel was part of Trumps plan to aid his agenda, hence the removal of US personnel from the region.

As for your comment about storage, it’s a red herring, don’t think you understand the overriding concept of “storage”, it’s purely a buffer, some additional security nothing more. Some 95% of our gas comes from Norway (predominantly the North Sea) and domestically also from the North Sea, and from the US. Very little comes from storage.

Anyway, this will hopefully blow over whilst talks are ongoing with the US, as Iran knows whose backing Israel and the likely impact of any significant counter actions could be.

But no matter what you are invested in, for the sake of humanity let’s hope it does blow over eh Sparky, or do you prefer WWIII……seems to me like you’d love that to gain a few more pennies.

Zonal pricing will put non-domestic customers in the spot light as far as regulatory control is concerned, Ofgem will still want to oversee and ensure that excessive profits aren’t being made by energy suppliers.

They will do what they’ve done in the water industry in terms of setting limits on profitability whereby the only way to exceed / increase profits will be by making efficiencies . I’m assuming the sector will still be regulated?, and how as you inferred will it impact wholesale pricing and the likes of Shell serving YU?.
