A 'good' RNS and the SP drops 10%! You couldn't make it up.

Hi Piper, I am not aware of any links between ODX and DLAR. I suspect it’s not ODX but perhaps Mologics POC Test.

My reasoning is the emphasis on the article in question on overseas/global sales. For now, ODX’s initial capacity will be consumed by UK (government) orders. This has been confirmed by CK so I am thinking no link.

MB - that would be my understanding too from the development cycle employed by ODX with their Visitect CD4 Test. In other words that once design freeze is achieved the product is then evaluated in trials. This suggests to me that since tests are being evaluated (according to Newton) that design freeze milestone is already passed.

None of us are always correct pumpky. None of us. ;) So much psychology involved in successful investing. And sometimes I talk a better game than I play, happy to admit it.

Piper is absolutely spot on. For the Risk-Reward factor this is just about as much stacked in our favour without official confirmation as you could possibly hope for. As I said last week and repeat I am supremely confident now of the news we hope for. Even if the announcement doesn't come tonight through 'Handjob' (makes me wince thinking about that) and Newton its coming to us very soon now. Stay long and strong folks.

Come on Shampoo, I think the excitement is actually quite understandable. We are so very close to now to transformative news confirmation. I don't parrot on with £5 forecasts and the like because I like to know that what I say has some form of credibility. But we are all different and some are more excitable. One things for sure The news is NOT in the price. Yes there's ramping but this is not fantasy island situation here. This is very real. Just IMO.

I have recently read on these boards comments about ODX manufacturing the POC Tests in India and even Germany. I think this has happened because of a lack of thorough research. To be very clear, ODX no longer have a factory in Pune India. They have no units in Germany either. Their manufacturing operations will be entirely UK focused and I’ve had this confirmed by CK (I’d asked him the question). HTH

Worth pointing out CK stated in his Sky interview that ALL of ODX’s (current) manufacturing capacity would be taken by UK government orders. Let’s just, for a moment, step back and reflect on that fact. Is that not the Holy Grail of investing to have your biggest customer the UK government: thus zero risk of defaulting payments. Not just the gold standard for tests but from a vendors point of view the gold standard customer.

ODX will Be acutely aware that demand for this product is likely to extend way beyond their current capacity so Colin King and his teams biggest challenge is going to be how to expand and scale up manufacturing capacity further. No,1 priority which I’m sure is being worked on. If they can the sky’s the limit because demand could be global if this test ultimately proves to be the Gold standard.

PK - understandably the CEO is being cautious and conservative with his timeline . But there’s a bit of Scottish canniness thrown in there to give them legroom.

But as I say note now the lack of lab tests will win game over for ODX posts have all but dried up. The reason - they know like we do now what is coming.

My feeling from the market action today is that news is not expected in the very near term hence the ambivalence. That means if the RNS drops next week the market is going to be caught hopping.

But there’s been a notable turn in sentiment. Note for example how most of the negative posters and derampers have given up on the ‘it just wont happen’ for whatever reason they can think of line to now saying it’s not going to happen in the timeframe we might expect.

Anyone else noticed? ;)

Evidence of placees flipping their 6p shares in the past couple of hours? They’re not making much!

Why is anyone surprised by this deal. The company issued an RNS on 29th April which stated the following:

"The Company confirms that it is in talks with a third-party in relation to a Joint Venture. However, there is no certainty the talks will conclude in a successful manner, nor that in the event that the Joint Venture is agreed, that the terms will be favourable to the Company."

So there you go Shareholders WERE warned beforehand by the company.

Personally I think this is now a bit of a non-core irrelevance. It's certainly not what anyone is invested here now for is it?

I liked the way Colin said “Confidentially” they are happy with progress. In other words ‘here, get up close, let me whisper something, between you and me, nudge nudge wink wink’ etc

He is absolutely itching to announce to the world but can’t yet.

Woodstock yes the RTC Test will be perfect for airports. A few minutes wait and off you go if you get those two little lines in the test bar.

We have this in the bag. I believe they already have design freeze but we must remember this is government led. So the question is who is going to announce first? Would it be Omega or one of the other consortium members or the government? It has to be the government surely? Mass antibody testing is a main pillar of the governments strategy.

So my thinking is that an RNS would quickly follow an announcement by the government so it could be intraday dependent on the timing of the govt.

It could be any day now.

Maybe a mistake but surely if you hadn’t done it yet you’d say ‘reluctant to set timeline before we achieve design freeze’
