Somethings going on. I know we often say it but MM's really DO want our shares this morning. I've been doing a lot of dummy buys and sells and its very obvious they are short of stock. OK it is only fairly light volume comparatively this morning but the SP dynamics have changed from recent days. I hope its not just another false Twitter pump.

On another note did I read somewhere that Chris Akers was showing an interest here? May have got it wrong.

Nice post chaps. Sadly we live in a society where, it doesn't matter what you are referring to, any subject, people want things NOW. They want instant gratification. They don't want to wait. It's partly a product of cheap money, cheap debt. Who actually 'saves' money anymore in the bank. You can't unless you want to lose money!

CCK - I thought you were the self appointed expert on such things. I am astounded therefore that you are unaware of the phenomenen known as "forward selling". This happens fairly regularly with placings. You borrow shares you don't own - short sell them and settle them (repay) on the admission date with your 'placing' allocation. You must've heard of the New World Oil and Gas case??

Ponkey - yes def we know forward selling of shares from a placing is a fairly common practice in the market so it would be no surprise if that is what is happening here. And when the stock is 'repaid' next Monday there won't be any shares to flip at the 'placing' price because they were already sold!

MB superb post. Put much better than I could. But I completely agree. All one needs is a little patience for a while longer sit tight don't be scared out by daily SP machinations - up or down. The timeline is admittedly a little later than some of us had hoped but its important to realise the scale of what they are trying to accomplish. It's quite remarkable really that they've achieved it in such a short space of time.

Ha I was wondering who would be the first to post about the Open Orphan Test. No surprise it was ‘stephenmerrett’. It is NOT repeat NOT a competitor to ODX or RTC in any way, shape or form. It’s another lab test. They are deliberately targeting a niche market - the cost of the Test is substantially higher anyway. It’s got nothing to do with the UK government. It’s very much a niche enterprise.

Novicehunter - I don’t think it was a ‘tee up’ RNS. I think it was forced on them because one of their consortium partners made a press release on the test. What were ODX supposed to do?

It’s easy to see how it’s given the many AIM short termers a chance to bale out ‘sell on news’ but the design freeze news could drop at any time this month. You could take a chance by being out but it’s risky. Sit tight would be better advice than think you’re cleverer than the market.

It’s a sad tale. The poor chap posted ODX as a Strong Buy as recently as on 23rd April closing price 33p
The following day 24th April he’d changed to a Sell (he sold either that day or 23rd April - ouch! 24 April closing price 38p.

Almost immediately afterwards the price virtually doubled.

It’s not hard to see why all his posts are so negative and bitter.

That the SP has held up as well as it has. I know folks will point to expected news flow but for the CEO to dump, and I mean truly dump so much stock in the last two days is extremely worrying. Not just that but the manner in which he did it was very calculated ie.get a couple of RNS’s out which clearly drew large retail investor demand and then dump your shares into it. Pretty low I would say.

I will be giving Mr Brown a very wide berth from hereonin.

No steven of course we don’t but we do know that this project is being done at extraordinary speed and any other possible competitor would be facing the same challenges too.

I think it laughable that some are looking at the end of June or even July as if it were a lifetime away. Such people with zero forward vision and even a modicum patience are doomed to never be truly successful. Patience is the key word in successful investing.

stevenmerrett - except ‘the’ news is NOT priced in because design freeze has not happened yet. Clarification on the (millions of) orders hasn’t happened yet. This is not priced for full UK roll out because you don’t know for certain it’s happening and neither do I. We just take a bet on it.

Sure some PI’s will sell out when that happens Allen’s but equally many who are waiting to be derisked will buy in.

OK this has given the sell on news brigade the chance they wait for. Because it’s not happening right now, this minute, and this market is riddled with impatience.

It’s a great update from the UK-RTC no question about it. Uber bullish.

Just have to wait a little while longer.

In the meanwhile if you have the funds available you’ll be snapping up any further dips as a gold plated opportunity.
