Your second point extremely harsh. I honestly don’t know where you’ve got that notion from? Firstly they were spawned out of a lab, they are drug developers. Not a manufacturer! Secondly I have no reason to doubt they are doing everything they possibly can to accelerate this to market ASAP. There will, of course, be forces not under their control.

OK for me he said enough for now. This was a discussion about the treatment Trump has received, not what he hasn’t received. There are also treatments other than SNG001 that he did not receive.

The Prof stuck the boot in enough for now. IMO it would have looked classless in the context of that particular interview to say ‘Our ones better than your one’.

All in good time as it seems the Numis factor is already kicking in.

Regenerons treatment might work but will be extremely expensive and difficult to manufacture in the quantities provided. But, as said before, no one treatment will be enough and I hope it works alongside SNG001 because we will need it.

Is it possible I wonder that such a connection could have some significance? It’s clear this Professor is very pro interferon treatment and has previously been involved in nasal interferon trials for rhinovirus.

If I was a betting man my favourite would still be Astra Zeneca as the chosen partner.

RM has spoken several times of taking this treatment global. That’s a pretty ambitious target for a tiny company with no significant organic manufacturing capacity.

He’s also stated - clearly on a number of occasions - that they are looking to partner with a BigPharma. Is that the thing he has said we need to be a ‘little bit patient and hopefully good news fairly soon’. My view : it must be. What else can it be? The MAP with Clinigen, as useful as it most certainly is, is not what he is referring to.

We are now seeing articles and features on Interferon Beta in countries all around the world. India, France, USA, South Africa, China. There is global awareness emerging. It’s gathering momentum. Once that first approval drops, albeit if just on a temporary or emergency basis this starts a snowball effect.

And I certainly also agree that a number of treatments will be required going forward. I don’t believe that SNG001 is the single panacea. But I do believe that it is and will be a very significant and important step forward in treating Covid and other viruses too. I will try and get the stats on the patient numbers that are admitted immediately to ICU or not but it is very clear it’s not everyone! Otherwise the hospital trial would not have been the success that it was. And that is essentially my point.

Not necessarily no. It’s clear that a lot of people were sick enough to be in hospital but def not sick enough to be in ICU. It’s progressive. You don’t generally go Straight from being at home self isolating To being in ICU on a ventilator do you? I think this is the bit you’re losing sight of and seeing it a bit binary.

Sparkle - I can definitely see what you are trying to say. However, my question to you would be - If the structure is wrong - and SNG does not ‘fit in’ how did they manage to give it successfully to all those patients in the In-hospital trial? On the basis of what you are saying surely all those patients were too sick to be given SNG001 by the time they were in hospital. But they clearly weren’t. I think the bit you are missing is that patients disease can progress in severity at different rates. It def was not too late to treat all those patients in the trial was it.

The lies have been pouring out over the past few days by the Trump medical people. He is clearly in a worse way than they are letting on. This guy Conley very economical with the truth, even admitted they are trying to put a positive spin on the whole thing. They are chucking the kitchen sink at the virus and it’s still not clear if that’s working. Expect more twists and turns in the next few days.

Consider this - IF and I know it’s a huge BIG if but if he dies having received Remdesivir, Monoclonal Antibodies, Dexamethasone and all the rest of it, but NOT Beta Interferons what kind of potential ramifications will there be for the ongoing use of these therapeutics? I’ll leave that one out there......
