Roy I’m not sure they are struggling with having no live events. The new(ish) management have changed the business model now and focusing on three distinct business strands. Most interesting imo is the Digital Media bit which is growing super fast.

Quiet board this considering what an exciting growth story is developing here. I remember I used to talk to myself on the ODX board many moons ago. It was littered with posts but mainly from me!

My question is how significant do we think it will be if/when the RTC get EUA from the FDA? And what are the implications in terms of the UK government - could they block orders that come in from the States as a result of the EUA?

JoeyDiamond - interesting thoughts thanks.... this is why it’s so important that the trials ARE international AND targeted specifically at countries worst affected (most cases) and ideally a regulatory regime which is open to EUA prior to trial completion. Political pressure could play a part in some countries. I hope you’re onto something there. It might only take one country to go with EUA to start a domino effect though that may be wishful thinking.

On the face of it HDD looks like a good recovery play. I know a bit about the company and like it. But I worry that COVID has dealt a huge blow to the aero industry and this might curtail orders from AirBus. Also question marks about recovery in the Oil industry too.

Might be a small recovery but not back to early 2020 levels imo.

Bought back into SHG this morning @ 14.75p.

Company has really moved on from a few years back. Eliminated debt. Highly cash generating. Hedging finished end of year.
West Kenya project looks mouthwatering.
Big exploration programme. Main discount is due to where they’re operating but that situation seems to be stable.

The thing no one seems to mention though is that with the lack of discoveries globally this HAS to be a take over target in the foreseeable.

Expecting a few holdings RNS’s to drop now the placing shares have been officially entered into the market. Should be interesting to see who has adjusted/increased/decreased.

I agree HarChris. The vaccine has changed things, we can’t argue with that. However even the good Prof is only human and can get a bit carried away. I mean sure, he understands the science in the lab but does he completely get the complexity of the logistics involved. The whole issue of executing a mass vaccination is going to be a hugely difficult undertaking. Just look at the issues that have occurred with testing! No, we are currently being fed the very best case scenario. The reality I suspect will not live up to the hype.

Investors are normally having to factor in that AIM explorers will periodically raise funds as they are not generating revenue. No such worries here. The JV means a FREE CARRY for CGNR all the way through the exploration/development cycle to Mine (or shovel) ready status. And we still keep a 45% slice of the pie as you say. It’s a great deal. Wait til the market wakes up to it.

This market thinks everything is going to be ok now. Vaccines will solve everything. Therapeutics? Pah who needs them. The world will be back to normal again next year. We’ve even got people like Prof John Bell saying it.

That’s the market mentality at present so bears are winning here. We need a change of market sentiment which is what I was posting about last night amongst all the wild and daft SP forecasts.

Yes this deal, when it finally arrives, will make CGNR a transformative gold play at an absolutely bargain price. See what AAZ themselves have to say about the Conroy JV in a recent Q&A with Proactive Investors:

Anywhere up to 20m ozs potential here. To put that in perspective That would put it right up with GGP as a potential resource.
