RE: 10p plus achievable22 Nov 2020 17:45
I think the SP initially dropped back as seed investors scaled back a little of their holdings on the open market after IPO. Not sure what else it could be unless early investors were willing to take a loss. I doubt it, and it doesn’t shape up as a trading stock either, so far at least.
Now, looking at the valuation, Total shares in issue : 514,617,362 x 7p = £36m MC. They raised £20m in cash at the time of IPO. Thus EV, at that point, and at this price (7p) is roughly £16m. We can assume they’ve spent a portion of that cash on player purchases so far.
In the prospectus they said:
“Guild will be the first esports franchise to join the London stock market, which will provide us with the caché, credibility and capital to fulfil our ambition to become one of the world’s top ten esports franchises within three years.”
If that ambition is achieved then the MC will not be £36m since the top esports franchises are currently (note *currently*) worth hundreds of million valuation.
So all looking good here to get in early.
