So what if most of the quotes in the ask column are actually shorts when you buy them, it’s no wonder that stocks doesn’t rise, surly not ! Does this explain side channelling ? & does this make a mockery of da graph’s ?

Morning bees, shorting in an interesting subject & of cause little detail exists in the public domain. Under the ‘lse’ exchange rules ‘theoretically’ not naked but anyone that is an exchange member can sell short & there are grey areas. One is not suppose to cancel quotes but they do. Someone can hold three positions, inventory, long & short. In the old days sometimes more stock was sold than was in issue but now with computers the calculations are 100% accurate. All stocks are sold short at times over the day. This is why it’s important to understand stock pricing so one has an idea of what is occurring in the background. An example of this is Riverfort selling in the after market at a higher price than the 16:30 close. Sold stock increasing the share price & vice versa. It’s a shame that this detail is not more easily available but they don’t want you to know because the market is all about taking money off people. The public don’t realise the complexity & think that this is just investing, focusing on company fundamentals & marketing on the internet but there is a whole different world playing out in the background.

There is approx $1m of this contract remaining which needs to be issued in shares by the end of next Month, February. Otherwise the dosh needs to be returned to Riverfort. So if you considering averaging down at 2.90p, I’m sure it will be most helpful, so Riverfort can sell an equal amount. Sales need to improve.

I concur with that Dickey. The Dec 31st rise is a good example. A low volume half day, idea to get noticed. Sp taken up in part due to low volume 100 quantity share trades, causing larger purchases to be at higher prices. But the maths didn’t add up, resulting in the sp retracing on the day & followed by price decay in the following Weeks. I’m surprised that some of the purchasers haven’t been moaning on here. All the fun of the casino.

Excellent to see healthy sales, lets hope it continues & increases in volume. Around $1m to complete between now & March, prior to any new contract commencing.

As long as investors are willing to buy the shares required to fund the project, the lights can stay on indefinitely. Question is, in 2/3 years time, how many shares will be in issue & what will the share price be ?

Hi Isphahan, I’m not surprised that you haven’t received an explanation to your question. What’s your thoughts on the significance, look at the ‘circumstances’ at the time & take a wild guess, it may be just as distracting.

Are posters here familiar with Hedge Funds long short strategy ?. I noted that at one point this Week Pmo was up 4% while Enq was down 4%. An 8% spread. Another factor is that Hedge Funds are increasingly struggling to trade against the technical trading. This might be a volume issue. Trades might be finding it easier to trade in concert with PMO, than Enq. As volume is required to overcome the technical trading. Another factor, a stock market fall on Tuesday due to da Brexit vote.

There are ‘many’ types of shorts, spread betting is just the retail version. Currently the UK market is one of the most shorted due to Brexit. Not the best timing for the precious pfs, ‘Maybe it should be delayed’. When you buy stock, is it from inventory or has the seller sold to you short, does the sp fall after ? Something to ponder perhaps. Quotes stacked in volumes of 100, why would that be ? Things are seldom what they appear, especially in this game & that includes graphs.

Hi Geng, you may be right. With only approx $1.1m left of this contract to be issued into the market, over the next 2 Months. This is now looking achievable, when many thought that it was not. May the January sales commence.

An excellent sales figure achieved in the after market on Monday. In the absence of factual information, at least that’s a positive. Amazing how the catalyst of a few purchases can get some carried away.

It’s being played, note the volume. Try & sell large volume & this will drop like a stone. See how easy it is to move a low volume stock & take money off people. It's what it's all about.

Someone is working the book by hitting the offer with 100 quantity trades & it’s pulling in novices. You do have to smile. Take care.

Sounds exciting, will that require more than 2 trades per day & if so with PI’s maxed out, who will be doing the buying ? We do know who will be doing the selling, that’s everyone else. Does the maths add up or is it somewhat unbalanced.

Politics & not very nice politics at that. US shale producers need a minimum $40 oil price, so it’s highly possible that the price will dip just below this due to temporary over supply. If this occurs it’s possible that ENQ’s book traders, trading very low volume with a minimal amount of stock, will try to induce the Funds to sell. It’s amazing how a £300m value of stock can be at the mercy of traders trading a few thousand quid’s worth, but that’s the auction system that stock prices float on.

Hi Kraken, that be a lot of stock. Some think that equities will out perform next year as a result of this sell off. Opec cuts in January & most likely additional cuts some time after if oil remains low. So 3 Months time may look very different, excluding Brexit. However there will be a time lag while the oversupply works it self out of the market. As the oversupply is not as high as 2016 I would be surprised if this falls back to 10p, but stocks can get very over sold. Interestingly some American Pro Managers have been complaining about the algo technical selling to the NSE. It’s difficult to decipher if the selling is genuine holdings as no RNS’s, shorting or just guys working the book ie technical selling. This is selling sold stock to each other, which amplifies the fall, otherwise know as crossing the spread. As yet there has not been any Gap downs just side channel low impact managed selling.

Bid 19.40 Offer 19.44. Extremely tight spread of 0.21% considering that the sp is falling. Shouldn’t that be huge, I guess the tight spread must to due to the ‘buying’. Don’t we just love a Christmas bargain.

Ye can’t close out a Futures short contract or sell it. The only way to neutralise the position, is to buy an equivalent long contract & that activity in volume typically is the catalyst for a trend change.

So Russia has reportedly pumped a record amount of oil this Month ahead of the cuts but that will be cut come January, in line with the Opec agreement. Question is will oil be shorted more or is this the bottom ?. Another question is has the Enq seller finished ? Enq was in a side channel this Month at 23.25 until the 13th. The selling has actually been light. A 10 day graph shows daily side channel selling ie sells matching buy value, on a daily basis with an overweight to the selling. So far, there is a change in the pattern this morning. 19.50 is a key price for enq, time will tell.
