Hi Sup, yes I broadly agree. Oil is still forecast to be over supplied in 2025. Syria, winter in the US & Opec+ delaying the production ‘increases’ has contributed to the recent spike. I fully agree & as I have stated previously are amassed at how this Industry’s operating secrets are kept. But Stock Markets are major earners for the Governments that house them, so that probably answers the question. If you haven’t seen it look at a video entitled ‘the spiders web, Britons second empire’ & you will get a glimpse of our adversary. That’s apart from the support Prop-Traders using L3 with 8 screens.

Financial instruments, that’s stocks & commodities etc overshoot in both directions. Oil is predicted to rise to $80. President Trump takes office on the 20th, which is also the Oil contract change over day. My guess is that Oil will overshoot & the Shorts will go in at the top & then it will plummet. The Industry know this & this is why your stocks are not moving, [apart from the positions that they are managing]. The Industry are not going to take the SP’s up just so you can take profits because that will extract value from the Market Caps & they don’t like that. If that kept occurring the stocks would end up at zero.

Looking at this from the General Publics perception of how they think the Stock Market works ? Nothing changes just different folk posting. If it was that easy We would be bumping into Stock Market millionaires all the time. If you want to succeed you need to radically change your mind set.

Arr that word ‘the Market’, that implies a collective of participants, if only it was.

There are 2 types of involvement here: Capital Growth & Income. PI’s view this as Capital Growth whereas for the Industry including Professional Traders it’s Income. Income pays the salaries & bonus’s. At floatation Companies sell their shares, which is their get out strategy & thereafter the Industry manages the listings, for ‘Income’. The underlying Co does not Trade & has little or no control over the Share Price. The Industry do not add value to the Market Cap. The only increase comes from external sources ie Joe Public. Yes share prices go up but in most cases they have to go down first. Because only what’s already there is being worked. Drop the price & PI’s buy, as can be see from the number of new posters on this bb. Problem is that overall this activity reduces the Market Cap & the stock trades in lower & lower trading ranges.

PI’s don’t post their continuing accumulating losses & you never see people boasting of huge Stock Market gains in the pub. The money only flows one way. Your odds are better in a Casino because the goal posts are not moved after you have placed your bet & you get free sandwiches.

Buckle up & enjoy the ride but be mindful of the GAP when you exit.

For a Newbie overthelimit that is an excellent question & the answer is yes. Either directly or indirectly using weightings. Stocks are Traded & this has been nothing other than a Professionally engineered Trade. Your one of a few on this Site that maybe realise that. I hope you stay on that path & don’t get distracted by the Retail perception of the Stock Market, which excludes the Industry in the background.

JMAX, it’s said that for each Immigrant entering Germany it takes 7 years to integrate at a cost of 1m euros. It is difficult to see the economic benefit but that’s not what immigration is about is it. ? However there might be a different hidden agenda. Each country’s debt is secured on it’s population per head. With natural deaths / covid & an ever increasing National Debt the population numbers need to be maintained & replaced.

Gogadget hi, unfortunately the inner workings of the Stock Market can not be found on the net. It is surprising how well the secrets are kept.

Without typing A4 sheets here’s a snippet, which you may find of interest:

1, The stocks rest & are moved on the LSE platform, which lets say does not work as you may expect.

2, Exchange members manage the listings & contrary to what you may read on the net never make losses, not one penny because the system is set up to insure that by default & is computerised to the penny. Managed Client A/c’s will be included within this.

3, Neither of these apply to your 13:51 post…….

Closed back to where the Client order was filled. Next order up 23p. They can try to hide activity but We know what the game is !

Hi Sup, no TLW aren’t running the show. It will be interesting to see what occurs here ie up, doon or priced in. I suspect all is already known. If it’s up or priced in you know the answer & the usual ruse filling Client orders. PS I previously posted a Hedging example for ye.

All will be released when instructed to do so. The dog obeys it’s masters. Remember who’s running the show.

Sid buys 1000 shares x £1 = £1000. At the same time he borrows 1000 shares & Short sells them. SP falls to 50p. Sid’s Long position is now at a £500 loss but his Short position is at a £500 profit. He closes his Short to realise the profit & still holds his Long position, which has now only cost him £500. Although the SP is at 50p he has not taken a loss. If the outlook looks grim He might decide to take out another Short in case the SP falls further. Note that the Long position was not sold so no RNS & thus Joe Public thinks that the holder is holding a position at the original cost.

This is a basic example & the method used is far more sophisticated. Only the DIY PI positions are unhedged. And if they sell at the lower price level it’s 50p profit for every share sold. This occurs over many price level spreads & is nothing to do with the underlying company, but will be in sync with news flow to appear that way.

JMAX, simple question: why ?

And one of the darlings of the Stock Market. Problem is ever body wants money from the listing, in profits & fees & the only source of value being added to the listing is from the General Public.

TankerQ, just for your information, it’s not put / Shorter’s moving the SP. They don’t have the ability to move it by 6.48% in one day. That would be a Short position of £198,397.91 + additional to cover external PI buys during the process. Just under the reporting value.

Hi Anton, can you refresh my memory please. What’s the worst case if it’s negative for TLW ? Is it just lost money already paid or will it cost extra ? possibly requiring an extra issuance of shares or Bonds ? Thanks

KOS closed up 19.19% yesterday in restrictive trading. Lets see what it does today now that’s lifted.
