That is a huge UT & has to be a Short closing because it’s value is grater than the days decrease value. This should be a big lead weight taken off the stock. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Gap up on Monday morn.

Reiteration. Stocks don’t go up in straight lines because of the values involved at various price levels. And price x volume takes time to work through. Consider that you are trading against Industry Trained Professionals & the only game in town is taking money off people.

Oil dropped recently because due to Covid, Oil demand for the past 3 Months was below estimates. However this is now increasing with supply demand parity forecast for Q1 2022. There is a time for Daytrading & a time to Hold, because the Trend-Is-Your-Friend.

It might be advantageous to have a wider view on Shorts. When you make a purchase you want your order filled don’t you. Not all of it might be filled from inventory, some might be sold short or all sold short. When a Professional builds up a short position, who do you think they sell short too ?

I do like it when the system messes up with all the DMM quotes named, whatever happened to anonymity, very rarely occurred pre Mifid 2. An extremely well populated book, but only up around 0.0030 of a penny from Friday. Interesting times.

In the absence of privileged information we can only speculate as to what is currently occurring. I think the Funds are still offloading stock, ether directly or through a contractor ie Market Maker. Looking back to Dec 2019, 40p is a key price, but that’s not to say it might dip below. So the stock rises as Daytraders buy in & a little Fund stock is sold & so on, until it’s depleted. Then it’s time to polish the rocket. JKX’s current trade has almost run it’s course.

Hi BigRisky, if you look at an HBR graph, the recovery trade took about 2 Months. There’s something like £50m of volume to work through, so as frustrating as this is, it will take time to play out.

Hi CDF1, despite the bad vibes I’m inclined to agree with you. However I’m aware how low volume stocks can be easily moved, if wised. Level 2 looks like it’s itching to rise. I’m not a chartists but RSI, MACD & Money Flow are all in an upward trend, with RSI pulling back slightly. Stocks often dip just prior to rising, to flush out recent buyers. HBR has just closed it’s trade. I can’t see this running to the end of the year. No one wants to leave shorts running that long, they want to get their hands on all of da money.

So there you have it, some excellent debate on this bb. So what to do, put on a tin hat or polish the rocket ?

Hi MD, I’m pleased to read that. Looks like heard work but the only way to get this monkey off your back. Maybe if another Director sells his position & the stock rises during the process with marketing video’s highlighted, you will have another opportunity.

Time to dump the Long position’s & take it down another leg to 35 / 30p or polish the rocket ? How much can elastic be stretched ? In simple terms this game is all about taking money off people, so don’t be surprised at anything you see.

Hi Spud, you may not realise how impressive that is to almost regain your losses trading this category of stock. The majority of PI’s never do. In fact it’s practically a miracle. I do wonder what you could achieve with Industry training & knowledge.

Hi FlyoverE, I would hazard a guess that yesterdays spike was the end of the trade for HBR. As the £4 spike took it back to the pre consolidation 20p. It might rise a little further after profit taking or become susceptible to price decay.

Hi BigRisky, all makes sense to me. I wouldn’t be too concerned about the published shorts on the Retail side, that’s nothing compared to what the unpublished Prop-Desk positions will be. They will close at the optimum time. Things work ‘oppositely’ for good reason.

And might have a little more to go. Time to close the shorts on TLW, utilising all that lovely induced sold stock from the Index Funds ?

The stock may bounce next Week, failing that you will have to wait until the end of the year. Just depends on how the Guys sitting on the big Long Short positions, want to play it. Whichever nets the most profit for them.
