Wolfe; this is where I’m confused. The buyer is supposedly still at the table, surely they got a non binding agreement in place with approx costs included. If it’s too low then why haven’t the BOD considered activating the sino deal? Or is a JV an option, Eua supply the mine etc and the other partner supplies the operational side of things. There’s far too many unknowns now and I find it infuriating.

Ramp; I’d be very happy if they released a very specific RNS. It might clear up all the questions we’ve had for the past 3 years!

Mac; I agree with you on that. Makes you wonder why our BOD feel the need to remain silent, I guess it’s down to the West sanctions (which don’t affect us either)

Putin 'open to talks' to secure Russia's interests - but Kremlin says situation 'difficult' with US
Russian President Vladimir Putin is open to talks "to secure Moscow's interests", the Kremlin said today.
However, a spokesman said that finding a mutual basis for talks was difficult as the US does not recognise the "new territories" in Ukraine that Russia claims as its own
The Kremlin said: "To achieve our goals, Putin is open to talks with all parties.
"The most preferable path is the achievement of our goals by diplomatic means."
Asked if Russia is ready to leave Ukraine after almost 10 months of war, the spokesman simply said: "The special military operation continues".
It comes after US President Joe Biden said on Thursday that he had no immediate plans to contact Mr Putin - but would speak with him if he showed interest in ending the war.
Mr Biden said he would only do that in consultation with NATO allies.

BergCarl’s; do you really think the USA are wanting to end the war, it was just the other day the news was all about Boeing producing new weapons for only $40,000 each and having them ready for Spring 2023. I hope the war ends but am very sceptical ref the media and the good old USA.

Paulb76; I think a lot of us feel the same, they’ve wasted 3 years and a lot of money on this asset sale. I’m hopeful that the fact they haven’t activated the sinosteal deal is a good sign that they are confident they are going to sell the assets. Having said that I’d not be surprised if they did activate it. One way or the other I just want clarity from our BOD, they are taking the p1ss out of us shareholders with their silence IMO. And before anyone says they have to keep their heads down please can they explain why, sanctions by the West don’t affect us and the Russian Gov must be fully aware that we exist (Rosgeo & ERDC)

It’s a good sign but Mr Putin hasn’t expressed an interest to stop the war yet. Also I’d think Ukraine might have something to say about it as well! Probably just the usual crap media looking for a story that’s not actually there.

Mr Wolfe; I think most people on here have got the gist of how “Macanory” operates and hopefully not too many take him serious these days. He won’t apologise as his ego simply won’t allow it, you do realise that don’t you Mr Wolfe? It’s more likely he will claim it’s on schedule the BOD just haven’t told us yet!

RNS 1 Sept 2021; The Monchetundra Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), contracted to CKE and EMR (both defined below), is in the final stages of its development further to the successful completion of geotechnical and other studies performed by Gipronickel (an engineering arm of Norilsk Nickel) as well as an audit by Wardell Armstrong International.

1. MT Definitive Feasibility study on schedule for submission in 2022.
2. The Company continues to progress discussions with regard to the potential sale of its assets, appointing KPMG Russia as agent in May 2022, and has set aside sufficient funds to complete and submit a Definitive Feasibility Study for the Monchetundra project in November 2022.
3. The Group has spent £682,419 on a development programme for the Monchetundra asset during 2021 and has budgeted a further £527,000 for statutory reporting on this asset to November 2022, keeping the asset in good standing while strategic options for the project's development are considered.

Mac; I think CAW (like most posters on here) just doesn’t like the arrogant method you use in your posts. You seem unable to have a debate with anyone and adopt the attitude of it’s your way or the highway! Most shareholders have accepted that the BOD are notoriously vague in their RNSs and word them so that they are nearly always open to interpretation, even in the RNS that you keep harping on about that they stated Nov, they also mention end of 2022, you “simply” need to go back and have a proper read, you can read can’t you Mac? If the DFS is running behind schedule we won’t know about it until they post something in Jan stating the SO had affected it and it’s now due fecking shortly! They did the same with the WK DFS ref covid if you care to look back at the RNSs.

Now more on energy, and China has said it is willing to forge a closer partnership with Russia on energy issues to ensure global energy security.
President Xi Jinping made the announcement just as the G7 grouping of nations prepares to impose new measures on Russia's oil exports.
State broadcaster CCTV reported his comments, made in a message to the Fourth China-Russia energy forum.
"China is willing to work with Russia to forge a closer energy partnership, promote clean and green energy development and jointly maintain international energy security and the stability of industry supply chains," Mr Xi reportedly said.
The statement may represent a disappointment to those who harbour hopes that China may seek to distance itself from Vladimir Putin's troubled invasion of Ukraine.
However, it is possible the remarks are largely symbolic and do not reflect any significant development in the relationship between the allied countries.
