Usually the MMs tighten up the spread when they expect good trading......but I see no signs of it today......two trades so far......

I am still a little surprised that we have virtually no real selling after the recent rise form the lows...... The late 8p trade is a peculiar one alright.....

Google always quote the last trade price...... not the official close price, which the London Stock Exchange quotes. For a company like SPHR, which is not a SEAQ traded company...the official close is always the middle price between bid and offer. On rare occasions our shares may go into an auction period...is there is a discrepancy in the price... So the LSE is the official closing price...... Just regarding the buy/sell ratio.....never a good indicator...... Someone may have placed an order to buy 1 million shares and to go up to ....lets say no higher then 10p....just say... Because of the lack of liquidity here...that may take some time to execute...moving the price up stimulates activity but the buy/sell ratio will mean nothing.... Also worth remembering if I have access to L2...I can be a buyer on the bid side...even though that will show as a sale.....;-)

JL....the buy V sell ratio does not work when you read it across like that. The price at which point the trade is conducted at is all I ever watch. You raise the bid price substantially and you will get trades, as someone is doing the bidding...just at a much higher price. If we have run out of spare shares (finally) then this action today is a consequence of there been very little liquidity in the stock. A point raised many times in the past on this board. But just for a moment....let us suppose that we have few shares to trade.....then the volatility will go up on smaller volume. Until this share gets closer to 12p (or more realistically 16p) then I think the volume will remain lite now, assuming our big sellers have eventually and finally cleared through the system. And perhaps our board are now aware of that and are happy to keep going for now......

We have had days here with a lot more buying and still not moved. So today is a good day. Even so, the last two trades were well outside the bid price of 8.50p. Significantly the prices were not changed.....must be some underling strength building or momentum even!! Hope so...

They look spot on to me too. Just seen a trade go through below the bid price...so a mark down may be on the way. Funny auld day today!!

A breather more like......a good run on limited stock. I am more surprised that there has been so little selling at this point. That may begin now. But it has alerted to a break out of trading on the upside now.....

Bid marked up to 8.25p....can sell for 8.32p......a bit of a scramble for stock going on now... brought a few sellers out but to be fair not many....

My best quote was 7.95p.....you are one of a kind rugs a SPHR in profit!!! Like hens teeth.....

Its actually hard to buy stock here today...My early morning quote for 100,000 shares @ 8.25p quickly vanished. You can sell....but it doesn't look like there are many sellers out there...... They will have to move the bid up over 8p to test the water....but it may not do the trick either..... Has something changed?...:-)

No......did you read it? Good explanation as to why big device companies tend to stay away from little fellas.....:-)

Thanks for that rugs.....My broker just quoted me 8.25p for 1000,000. Actually very little around in the 8's area......Seems to be very little stock up for sale. Can we have no sellers in SPHR? First for everything I suppose.....:-)
