This from the recent Trinity Delta update............
We have adopted conservative assumptions throughout in our modelling; for instance, the valuation includes only the sales for use in the critical care settings, with no value assigned to its possible use in other settings, neither does it
consider the inherent value of the technology platform. We feel this is currently appropriate as Sphere Medical has yet to demonstrate successful execution of its commercialisation straegy; however, as visibility improves we envisage employing less cautious assumptions.
I highlight this because I was talking this morning to a pediatrician doctor who happened to be in out hospital about the difference between caring for adults compared to children. I was quite amazed to hear her state that the blood transfusion in really sick children is so frequent and high....now of course it makes sense but to actually hear it for a doctor up front is really stark. Of course, I had after or near the end of our dialogue, mentioned Proxima and she immediately reacted with information on the product, about which she had heard a fair bit from her doctor friends around in other hospitals. She herself had not ever seen it but felt it was a fantastic device as long as it did what it said on the tin......when I mentioned that the Children's hospital in Manchester in the UK had recently purchased the device, she seemed very excited with this news...
Apparently she has friends over there who she is in contact with regularly. She seemed pretty keen on my news about product placement and is hoping to get updates from end users over there. She believes it could be of immense benefits in treating children. It certainly gave me a real boost in the product...to know that the word is, while I excetpt is slow....is none the less getting around by word of mouth now on a quicker scale.
Which led me to re read the above paragraph....all figures are based solely on critical care settings...mainly ICU.
Nothing else is in the figures.
This could be one of those times when something invented or discovered, like Penicillin had unintentional good consequences in another area..not really seen before......
