I agree in most part JL to your post below.... I just happened to be working last week when the RNS about the Phillips connectivity came out but I did notice one thing when I came home. The MMs had jumped the price up to I think 9p/10p bid offer. What that knee jerk reaction showed to me was two things...... 1. In a very quick moment (In the twinkling of an eye) this sp will be heavily gapped up....no question about that. 2. The MMs have no idea about news flow with this company. Because clearly this was not Earth shattering news by any stretch of the imagination and did not warrant any major up tick. They anticipated (but did not understand the nature of the release) some kind of demand...when none was ever going to materialize. But eventually one day it will rise and not come back down...:-)
Cellis....I don't think this stock is that liquid to be able to sell anything above 200K shares at the moment....without taking a below bid price. And I mean below bid price......the funding is still hanging over the head here. Yes they can keep going for a while longer...but any funding news is going to be seen purely as financing the board's pay cheques rather then furthering the company and sales. I would expect sales to be improving....but enough to want to put out another RNS? Hardly if it is only another 3/4 hospitals uptake. It is a difficult and certainly an expensive effort for a company this size to commercial market Proxima in a real sense without a big hitting distributor signed up. That is why the Ortho fail a few years back was a bitter disappointment in many ways. There reasons were there reasons.....It is still not to late for a major distributor to come on board....and I hope it happens....Direct sales is just not feasible with a one product company......But the company do really need to be more up front regarding the actual sales....again I ask...are we getting any repeat sales from any of these customers? If the device is only been rented and buying the add ons, then we need to know a bit more...certainly before any more funding rounds... We are after all been told that we have moved away from an R&D company to a commercial company...... I believe Tim over on ADVFN is going along next Tuesday evening to the presentation...so hopefully we may get another update before then...but seems unlikely at this moment!!
....dont forget the last trade.....that was a buy...:-).....all145 shares of them..... Could be the code!! Wouldn't want to be out of this over night...LOL...
...that should be. This site is shyte today!!!
...is not showing off book trades. They have a banner up saying so.Been like that for some time now... Feed problems... We have no trades so far today....
Funny thing is...on the 22 of June a 157,781 sell knocked the bid price right back. Today.....the bid holds firm...with over 250K traded @ 8p...
I don't actually think the funding is in the price at present. Certainly they have bought a little time with the SVB loan... £3 Million at 2016 year end plus £1.5 M draw down gives us head room till September @ £500K per month spend. Plus a tax credit of another £500K...might get us till October....plus the other £1.5M draw down...may even get us till year end... The news flow of late has been positive but not enough to drive the sp higher. Only firm orders will do that and we need figures to get a forecast that can be measured by. Wolfgang did not deviate from the recent update in the interview the other day....when pressed. The sales news todate lacks detail......has any of the sales been repeat business? Are they buying regularly, those that have bought? I think the one piece of news that could help the sp move higher...is if we could tie up a deal with a big name distributor to cover the rest of Europe...rather then the individual distributors we have been getting. Or if we could get someone else involved (another medical device company) with the intention of using the Proxima platform in their own device......now that would be nice.... We could do with another update before the next presentation or else we will be going over the same stuff again to the same investors....but we can only get an update, if there is something to up the market with!!! I am anticipating strong demand in the week a head.....:-)
I do think the figures quote are been quite conservative....and rightly so. With new technology..it is difficult to access very accurately just how the market will unfold. The main priority is getting the technology doing what it says....then as the tech gets its name around the corridors as doing what it says it can do....it has potential to increase its penetration into the well established market area....then someone else sees the potential in another area or even in another device and perhaps even collaborations can be introduced...Was it the chip maker...ARM....that did quite well withe its technology? But I agree...the market looks low...but I am ok with that for now...
Philips link 'a huge step forward' for Sphere Medical - CEO Wolfgang Rencken 10:19 30 Jun 2017 Wolfgang Rencken, chief executive of Sphere Medical Holding PLC (LON:SPHR) tells Proactive he's hugely excited their Proxima 4 critical care blood gas monitoring system can now work with electronics giant Philips' IntelliVue Patient Monitoring Systems. The combination with Philips’ equipment means that Proxima's results can be recorded and displayed alongside other critical monitoring information, such as blood pressure, ECG, EEG, respiratory rate, cardiac output and temperature. http://tinyurl.com/yafff2gm
It has nothing to do with Phillips......it is about connectivity...Our system can now "talk" with one of the most widely used monitor systems in the health sector regarding ICU/theater... Our engineers have upgraded the software to be connected to the Phillips system....not to be underestimated.. I would imagine it hugely increases our connectivity across Europe....but that would be an important issue when considering purchasing any product... Is it comparable with our current or present system? Yes or no! And the answer is increasingly .....yes!!...:-)
Paying 9p...full price already. Been a while since this was selling at that price.. Could be the late eaction to yesterday's good announcement.
Cant find anything on the web site!! Any link JL...?
JL...can you post a link cause I cant see anything under Investors!! Thanks...
A highly pleasing piece of news this and one that will not go unnoticed in the devices market. Philips are a very big player in the monitoring market. So the Philips' IntelliVue Patient Monitoring Systems is almost like the gold mark in ICU and theater monitoring....So little old SPHR's data can now be read alongside all the main vitals while monitoring a patient. This is a major scoop for the Proxima and greatly increases its sellability in the market place. I am not surprised the market makers marked it up so high this morning...they clearly wanted to stop anybody from buying in!!! Certainly when they have no shares to sell. I would suspect that this piece of news will enhance the attractiveness of finding distributors (or singular) in the coming time...... http://tinyurl.com/yb6h7gbr
Sphere medical get a special mention...and I note the connection with one of our data base customers..is owned by Siemens!! http://tinyurl.com/y933wndc
Got this from a web site that invites feed back on companies....... "Meh, twas a job" Former Contractor - Lab Tech in Harston, England I worked at Sphere Medical as a contractor (Less than a year) Pros Nice modern premises and decent folk in general. Work load was almost optional, and no severe backlash for ineffective or poor work practices-some people should have been removed for laziness/being useless. Cons Some criminally over paid charlatans, as the place was just R&D and not selling anything! Not much room to manoeuvre career wise or be properly recognised. Strange obsession with strict work hours (9 - 17:30) Advice to Management Trim the numbers of "upper" management - too many chiefs and all that back then as it's only a small operation realistically. I think we have known this for a number of years.....I hope Woodford and Co are aware of this.....I have no idea of the time line...and I know we have reduced our spend....and we are now in commercial activity.....so they better think long and hard as to how they want to raise another £8 million...... http://tinyurl.com/ya628loo
*****By the way on Barclays I can flog all my 150,000 shares at 7.73 pence at the moment. Normally they are not interested !******* A day later and they are already marking the price higher for stock......that says a good two way market is finally starting to develop here...after 5 1/2 years.....:-)
Well considering our Normal Market size is only 5,000 for an accurate quote....the trade at 7.50p yesterday was fair enough. I tend to agree with CC on this one. The sp does still seem to have support at the 8p level. And again...considering the offer price is stuck stubbornly @ 9p.....makes me feel that we are still in a very tight market. Most of the bid trades were around 8.40p...then the off book trading went kaput for a few days in a lot of stocks. We came back with a trade low of 7.50p but everything else has been substantially higher then that...for near NMS deals. Why even today the bid trade was nearer to 8.20p...so it is moving higher again...... And all against a back drop of the offer price not budging from the 9p mark. Now that is just plain unusual for here.... What is more....is that shows a degree of confidence in going after the shares...Nothing has broken down to my mind, in fact it is beginning to look like we are wanting to go higher.....the short term certainly looking strong. Funny thing about their Twitter account....their followers is moving up a fair bit in recent days...:-)
....the funding....Let us be clear at this point. SPHR needs at least £8 Million soon...and that is according to Capital. So, no matter how you dice it...the company needs more cash...and I suspect it will be soon enough. The SVB loan has bought some time to give sales a bit of traction. I do not expect a company announcement on every sale or update on every sale. But I do expect sales to be moving ahead none the less. I have been in from day one back in November 2011 and I expect to be hear till the end (which ever way it ends up). I remain optimistic that this will come good. I have only ever added to my holdings and never sold. However as expressed before by others.....I would have felt a lot happier had some members of the board bought some shares in the market as a sign of their own support in the company. That said, what any of us do with our own money is our own business alone.
LOL....:-)
