Couple of big sells today but we had an excess of about 14m buys yesterday, SP being moved down on not very much at all.

Someone is expecting good news to drop any minute. RNS tomorrow morning?

It's all getting a bit silly now. I'm in the red for the first time since the middle of last year now. Surely a big background sell must have happened around 11.00 to bring the bid down as low as 21.0p?

Trades seem to be alternating between 0.1 and 0.103. Do we think that maybe the real ask is actually 0.103 and we are seeing a flurry of buys below the mid point?

Yes, broadly positive RNS, if not earth shattering. Looking forward to seeing more news later this month as promised. Good to see the buys rolling in this morning too, could do with a bit of positive pressure on the SP after the recent shenanigans.

More of these small dummy buys after big sells. It seems like someone is testing the water, but what for though?

Just bought in, 1m before the bell. Looking for some gains on the back of positive news flow over the next couple of months. Lots of positivity and momentum behind this one, good to see the buys flooding in and glad I have got in while I can at these prices.

Fate has called this one already, Spurs have pulled it back from the brink on so many occasions, it just feels like luck is with us for once. COYS

Is all we need. As others have alluded to, it will take a while for the latest FY figures to get onto the websites that most private punters will use. A nice low P/E ratio in a growth company in AIM will bring in plenty more once these go up. IIs may be waiting to catch the falling knife and are not ready to do so with the current games being played.

@SOTRR I think many were expecting a special dividend to get paid alongside the announcement of the policy, which I have thought was very unlikely given the potential for reinvestment using the greater-than-average profits from recent high V prices. This deal puts that firmly to bed and you are right, it will most certainly be linked to a fixed percentage of free cash flow for the time being.

@Pdub Apologies, wrong wording used, its not been dropped, but it certainly has been significantly delayed twice without warning or justification - I think this deal is why. A lesson for us and the BoD again, I think, under promise, over deliver.

Fully prepared to go back on my recent grumbles off the back of today's news. Another blinding bit of business from Fortune and the BoD in securing a valuable asset under very favourable terms, they cannot be accused of simply living off of the Vametco deal anymore.

Kudos too to BBN who just yesterday discussed a potential Vanchem purchase as being part of our transformational route to 10kT pa.

It will be interesting to see how this affects our 2019 production, given that (as others have discussed), the processing side was always the bottleneck, 5kT by the end of the year isn't too unrealistic a figure with all this in mind.

To be fair to the BoD, this deal also goes a long way towards explaining the missed dividend policy commitment. I would imagine this purchase is going to take a fair chunk of our cash on hand and it would be unwise to offer this to shareholders when such an opportunity was made available. To me it seems like something may have changed very recently for the dividend commitment to be dropped despite multiple signposts to this over the past few months. The V price drop perhaps?

Either way, great news, looking forward to Mokopane and more off the back of this.

Just before 9am, causing a big drop in the SP. Some more shorting attempts going on?

My personal view is that we're probably seeing a combination of some shorting and of LTHs selling down. If the momentum is downward, who can be surprised if some jump on board to take advantage of it. No doubt long term holders don't like to see their profits disappear, even a top slice with their profits would not reduce their holdings significantly.

My concern is that I don't know what will arrest this fall in the short term. We're only really due a Vametco Q1 update, which is unlikely to be earth shattering, between now and the year end financial results (which hopefully will be). As long as the MMs and selling shareholders continue to oblige the shorters, why would they stop?
